(TJV NEWS) Democratic Congressman Jamie Raskin issued a pointed warning during an appearance on the Pod Save America podcast, pledging that Democrats would seek retribution against those he accuses of enabling “authoritarianism” if the party returns to power.
🚨Radical leftist Jamie Raskin says his political opposition will face repercussions for unleashing “fascist chaos” should Dems regain power:

Raskin, son of the late far-left academic and progressive activist Marcus Raskin, accused the Trump administration and its supporters of “unleashing fascism” in America. He emphasized that Democrats would not “look kindly” on those who backed or facilitated the former president’s policies.
“If and when we come back to power—and we will—we are not going to look kindly upon people who facilitated authoritarianism in our country. That’s an assault on our Constitution and on our people,” Raskin said.
He also called for greater global coordination between left-leaning governments and movements, warning of the spread of “fascist chaos” and urging “transnational democratic solidarity.”
Raskin has recently drawn criticism for defending foreign nationals accused of gang affiliations. In a House committee hearing, he slammed the Trump administration’s deportation of suspected Tren de Aragua members, calling it a “blatant violation of American due process.” He demanded the return of deportees flown to El Salvador, referring to them as victims of constitutional overreach.
“I call on my colleagues to demand that the Trump administration comply with all judicial orders while appealing whichever ones they want to appeal, and to demand the return of people unlawfully taken to El Salvador on that so-called plane full of ‘gang bangers,’” Raskin said.
He also condemned criticism of activist judges and called for civility in discourse, despite his own fiery rhetoric.
“This is the Judiciary Committee of the United States, and we should act like it,” Raskin said, rebuking threats and online harassment against judges perceived as obstructing Trump’s policy agenda.
Raskin’s remarks come amid growing political polarization and reflect the ongoing tension between progressive lawmakers and the president’s supporters. His statements signal that, should Democrats regain control, political payback may be on the agenda.
