(TJV NEWS) A horrifying video showing the final moments of 15-year-old Jaden Pierre’s life is drawing widespread attention after it was highlighted by former NYC Mayor Eric Adams, as the NY Daily News reported.
The footage captures the brutal attack inside a Queens playground, where Pierre was surrounded by a group of teens in the St. Albans neighborhood. What began as a confrontation quickly escalated—he was beaten to the ground before one attacker pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest.

According to the NY Daily News, the teen collapsed as chaos broke out, with bystanders watching and recording the violence instead of intervening. Emergency responders rushed Pierre to the hospital, but he later died from his injuries.
Adams brought renewed attention to the case by sharing the disturbing clip, using it to highlight what he sees as a troubling lack of focus on everyday violence affecting young people in the city. His decision to post the video has sparked debate, with some arguing it raises awareness while others question the impact of circulating such graphic content.
Police say the suspected shooter fled immediately after the attack and remains at large. Authorities have released images of the individual and are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
While the motive remains unclear, investigators believe the violence may have stemmed from an ongoing dispute among the group. The incident unfolded during what was reportedly a large gathering of teens in the park, underscoring concerns about how quickly situations can spiral out of control.
The killing has rattled the Queens community, with residents voicing anger over the senseless loss of life and growing fears about youth violence. The video—now widely circulated—has only intensified those concerns, putting pressure on city leaders and law enforcement to respond decisively.
