The news coming out of CNN has not been good lately, from the abysmal ratings, the Chris Cuomo scandal and subsequent firing, Don Lemon’s sexual harassment scandal and his alleged police tip off calls to Jussie Smollett; and a senior CNN producer being arrested for sexual abuse of children as young as nine.
The brief positive press of Chris Wallace joining CNN’s streaming service, will not take away the stench.
Chris Cuomo, jocularly referred to as “Fredo” is back in the news, after another CNN scandal broke over the weekend.
Disgraced former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo “schemed to discredit Fox News meteorologist Janice Dean, allegedly calling her ‘that Fox weather bitch,’” reports the New York Post.
Back in March and April of last year, Dean lost her in-laws to the coronavirus. Both were New York nursing home residents, and Dean believes disgraced former Gov. Andrew Cuomo was directly responsible. This was when the Democrat governor issued an executive order that required nursing homes to accept patients still infected with the coronavirus, as summarized by John Nolte at Breitbart News.
Michael and Dolores Newman — the parents of Dean’s husband, Sean, died soon after the then-governor’s controversial policy was announced, The NY Post reported.
The 83-year-old Mickey, a former firefighter, was in the Grandell Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Brooklyn with dementia. He died on March 29, 2020.
The NY Post reported:
According to a source, canned CNN anchor Chris wanted to fight to defend his brother and texted with Andrew’s staff about how to discredit Dean.
The source said Chris allegedly asked in a text to an Andrew Cuomo staffer how he could go after “this Fox weather bitch……Any help painting her as a far right crazy?”
It is also believed he participated in calls with the governor’s staff, including Melissa DeRosa, about how to hit back at Dean by focusing on her political leanings. However, as a meteorologist, she doesn’t usually get involved in politics.
Earlier last weekend, CNN continued to sink lower and lower when it was revealed that a former CNN producer, John Griffin, was arrested on Friday by the FBI after being charged by a grand jury in Vermont “with three counts of using a facility of interstate commerce to attempt to entice minors to engage in unlawful sexual activity. “
He allegedly tried to convince mothers of underage girls via social media applications, to let him have sex with their daughters ranging from 9 years old to 13.
Meanwhile, the main-stream media while reporting on the Cuomo firing and scandal, has downplayed the arrest of Griffin, and has tried very hard to keep the allegations made against Don Lemon, who allegedly sexually harassed another man in an upscale bar and is being sued, out of headlines. Lemon, also allegedly made calls to fallen actor Jussie Smollett, tipping him off to Chicago police investigating his fake hate crime charade. CNN is falling hard in ratings and in reputation, and it is doubtful ex Fox News anchor, Chris Wallace will save the day for the one-time news authority, CNN.
