“My Unorthodox Life” star, Julia Haart is splitting from husband Silvio Scaglia Haart after two years of marriage, as per a source for Page Six.
“They are living separate lives,” the source told the tabloid regarding the Netflix star and her media and tech entrepreneur husband. Mr. Silvio had purchased Elite World Group, a fashion and talent agency, in 2011, and in 2019 Haart became co-owner and CEO of the business. They had worked together at the company and had wed in June 2019. They had met back when she was the creative director of La Perla, and he was the company’s CEO. Silvio, 63, had taken on her last name in the marriage. “The first year of our interaction was me yelling at him,” Haart once the New York Times about working with Silvio. “I was horrible to him. But I had a lot of respect for him. As sheltered as my life had been, his life had been the diametric opposite. He’d been everywhere. He’d seen everything. And when I yelled at him, he took it like a man. That made me happy.”
The source told Page Six, that the breakup will be the plot in the next season of the Netflix reality show. “My Unorthodox Life”, the streaming series is about Julia, who was formerly an Orthodox Jew from Monsey, New York who turned away from her religion in 2013. The show, debuted in July, is about her new personal and professional life in fashion, maligning Judaism along the way. Julia was previously married to a religious Jew in a prearranged marriage, from which she has four children. The show has been very ill received by many Jewish communities. The show’s second season is forthcoming on Netflix, with little details as to future storylines revealed as yet.
On Sunday, Haart,50, posted a photo of herself with her husband dining at the Soho Grand Hotel. However, based on his Instagram feed it seems like he’s been in Mexico since mid-October, while she has been home in New York City, seen attending various VIP parties.
A different source for the Post, denied the report saying the split is just a rumor. They are “currently living together and love one another,” said the second source.
