Paul Manafort, ex-campaign manager for former President Donald Trump, has sold his Hamptons estate for slightly above the $10 million asking price.

As reported by the NY Post, the 10-bedroom home was sold in a hushed manner, in which most people did not even know that it was listed for sale. The estate went into contract quickly after hitting the market with an asking price of $9.995 million. A deal transpired a few months ago, and the house went to closing last week.

The 10-bedroom, six-bathroom Hamptons home spans 5,696 square feet. Located at 174 Jobs Lane in Bridgehampton, it features tennis courts, a pool and a pool house, in addition to a putting green and a basketball court. The property is nestled on 2.37 acres and borders a reserve.

Manafort, 72, was a former lobbyist, political consultant, attorney, and long-time Republican Party campaign consultant. He was indicted at the request of Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel investigation in October 2017, on multiple charges arising from his consulting work for the pro-Russian government in Ukraine. In June 2018, he was sent to jail for obstruction of justice, witness tampering, and bank and tax fraud. In December 2020, he received a pardon from former President Donald Trump.

Manafort, having agreed to forfeit the home due to his criminal sentence, did not maintain the Hamptons home, and it was in need of repair. A source who has seen the home told The Post that it was in poor condition: “It is in such a state of disrepair that it is unlikely the buyer will keep the home as is. It’s a teardown at this point.” The listing broker, Susan Breitenbach, of the Corcoran Group, declined comment.

When Manafort pleaded guilty in 2018, he forfeited five pricey properties, along with his bank accounts and life insurance — worth about $22 million in total. After being pardoned by Trump, however, the deal changed. Last February, a federal judge ruled that Manafort could keep the properties not yet sold by the feds. Those included this Hamptons beach mansion, a three-bedroom luxury condo in Chinatown, and a $4 million Brooklyn brownstone.

As per the Post, Manafort has also put the luxury Chinatown condo up for sale. He owns it along with his daughter, Andrea Manafort Shand. They have listed it for sale with an asking price of $2.995 million. The fifth-floor Chinatown unit, at 123 Baxter St., spans 2,100-square-feet, and boasts three bedrooms, three bathrooms and plenty of outdoor space. He and his daughter had purchased the home in 2007 for $2.5 million.
