Multiple reports have indicated that trust in the BBC is down among views and now a Scottish reporter has left the BBC to start his own network.

A Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism study found that trust in BBC News has fallen by 20 percentage points in the last two years. The report said the Brexit crisis saw the BBC increasingly in the firing line, with data showing that, although overall trust in its news remains high, criticism from those who are politically committed, on the left and the right, has grown over the last few years, The Telegraph reported.

Scottish reported Andrew Neil recently departed BBC to form his own TV Network.

“We’ve seen a huge gap in the market for a new form of television news … GB News is the most exciting thing to happen in British television news for more than 20 years. We will champion robust, balanced debate and a range of perspectives on the issues that affect everyone in the UK, not just those living in the London area”, Neil recently announced.

The left leaning Guardian reported: GB News, which has drawn comparisons with Fox News, promises to serve the “vast number of British people who feel underserved and unheard” by existing television news channels, explicitly pitching itself into the middle of the culture war.

The new BBC director general, Tim Davie, had attempted to win him back but Neil, who is also chairman of the rightwing Spectator magazine, has instead decided to jump ship. The veteran interviewer will be the face and chairman of the advertising-funded GB News, which already has a broadcasting license and will be accessible in the vast majority of British, the Guardian explained.

For decades, many have accused the BBC of being left wing propaganda The channel’s co-founder Andrew Cole has previously said the BBC is a “disgrace” that “is bad for Britain on so many levels” and “needs to be broken up”

Many point to the vastly underreported Jimmy Saville sex assault, pedophile scandal which rocked the BBC, as the start of heavy backlash against the network.

The popular eccentric, philanthropic & Knighted, radio, TV personality &  journalist was found guilty of molesting hundreds of children of all ages for decades on end in hospitals.  The celebrated eccentric, Jimmy Seville’s scandal was not heavily reported, and created a  vast distrust of establishment media in the UK.

With a powerful beloved figure like Saville living a secret life of child molestation, one begins to question just who really are the people “informing” them  on the TV?
