During attacks on Sunday night involving 50 fighter jets and other aircraft, more than 20 missiles were destroyed simultaneously, minutes before they were fired at Israel. In one of the strikes, a launch squad was eliminated and the surface-to-surface missiles destroyed.

Around 100 military targets were attacked in total, including missile storage sites, launchers and launch headquarters.

The IDF reported on Monday afternoon that the IAF had identified and targeted several trucks carrying weapons—including surface-to-air missile launchers—traveling from western Iran toward Tehran in an effort to evade Israeli strikes.

According to the IDF, the IAF successfully struck and neutralized the trucks and their cargo, preventing the weapons from reaching their intended destination. The IDF also released footage showing the trucks transporting the missile launchers en route to Tehran.

IAF strikes Quds Force command centers in Iran

The IAF overnight Sunday struck command centers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ elite Quds Force, the military said.

In these command centers, Quds Force operatives coordinated terrorist attacks against Israel through proxy groups backed by the Iranian regime across the Middle East, according to the Israel Defense Forces.

The air force simultaneously continued to target the Islamic Republic’s ballistic missile stockpiles to neutralize the ongoing threat to the Israeli home front and secure aerial superiority over Iran.

In one instance, Israeli aircraft identified and eliminated surface-to-air missile-launch operatives moments before they reached a launcher south of Tehran, destroying both the operatives and the launcher.

Air operations remain underway as the military works to establish air superiority across Iran.

The IDF also completed a wide-ranging series of strikes aimed at disrupting the Iranian regime’s weapons production capabilities, the military said.

“The arrogant dictator of Tehran has become a cowardly murderer who targets the civilian home front in Israel to deter the IDF from continuing the attack that is collapsing his capabilities,” Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a statement on Monday. “The residents of Tehran will pay the price, and soon.”

Katz, shortly thereafter, clarified in another X post that “there is no intention to physically harm the residents of Tehran as the murderous dictator does to the residents of Israel.”

He then wrote that the residents of the Iranian capital “will have to pay the price of the dictatorship and evacuate their homes from areas where it will be necessary to strike regime targets and security infrastructure in Tehran.”

He added, “We will continue to protect the residents of Israel.”

In a message to the Iranian people on Friday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared the regime in Tehran a “common enemy” of Israelis and Iranians.

“Israel’s fight is not with you,” the premier stated. “Our fight is with our common enemy, a murderous regime that both oppresses you and impoverishes you.”
