“We need to hear you RESIGNED as Mayor of NYC,” Sergeants Benevolent Association President Ed Mullins wrote on Twitter Friday

De Blasio was tweeting his negative critique of the GOP convention after his record as mayor was thrashed during the RNC convention repeatedly, and Mullins meanwhile responded with calls for de Blasio’s resignation.

Giuliani’s powerful and passionate RNC appearance was too much for de Blasio as the former mayor decimated his record in a fired up rant. Rudy attacked progressive ideology and the exploding crime rate in NYC.

Former PBA leader, Pat Lynch also appeared at the RNC and went after de Blasio’s record on crime in NYC

. The tweets continued with Bill Neidhardt, the Mayor’s press secretary responding with some well prepared progressive talking points

“Ed Mullins and RNC speaker Pat Lynch do not represent the views of most New Yorkers, let alone rank-and-file,” Neidhardt tweeted.

“They’re a disgrace to the labor movement. Their embrace of a racist President shows how ill-equipped they are to serve a diverse city and a majority-minority force,” Neidhardt added.
