(TJV NEWS) A Liberian national living in Delaware who was convicted of felony animal cruelty is now pleading for donations online in a bid to avoid jail time and possible deportation.
As reported by DailyMail.com and credited in GoFundMe posts, 28-year-old Anigar Monsee launched the fundraiser shortly after being found guilty of torturing animals on camera for her YouTube audience.
Monsee, who marketed her gruesome content as “cooking traditional meals,” was found guilty on Wednesday and now faces up to seven years in prison. According to her GoFundMe page, she claims to be a “single mother” fighting for her and her daughter’s future, blaming her legal troubles on cultural misunderstanding. “I may be sent to jail or even deported over something I never imagined would put our lives in jeopardy,” she wrote.
Despite her plea, prosecutors and viewers of her disturbing videos paint a different picture. Monsee’s YouTube content—disguised as cooking tutorials—showed her gleefully torturing animals including rabbits, frogs, chickens, and pigeons. In one case, she inflicted prolonged pain on a pigeon before slowly killing it. In another, she disemboweled a live frog, all while smiling and interacting with an audience that reportedly paid to request which animal she would kill next.
As Breitbart noted, Monsee evaded content moderation by framing the videos as culinary demonstrations. She amassed over 20,000 subscribers, monetizing the abuse through viewer requests and donations.
Animal rights organization PETA was instrumental in ending Monsee’s operations. After discovering her videos, the group alerted authorities, ultimately leading to her arrest and conviction. Kristin Rickman, director of PETA’s emergency response team, told the Philadelphia Inquirer that Monsee’s content was both traumatic for viewers and dangerously appealing to others with violent tendencies. “This kind of activity is just so deplorable and damaging,” Rickman said.
YOUTUBE and GoFundMe have yet to respond publicly to inquiries about whether Monsee’s actions violated their respective policies. As of now, her GoFundMe campaign has raised just over $300 of its $10,000 goal.
During questioning by police, Monsee admitted to being the woman in the videos. Officers noted that she became visibly distressed when shown a clip of herself slaughtering a rabbit.
Though Monsee did not disclose her current immigration status, President Donald Trump’s administration has repeatedly taken a firm stance on deporting non-citizens convicted of crimes. Homeland Security has emphasized that criminal behavior—even under the guise of cultural practice—will not be tolerated.
Monsee is scheduled for sentencing in July.

If only she kept kosher…
What a great candidate to be the face of the movement resisting immigration law!
of course she’s a “single mother” That’s the only culturally accurate aspect of her life, just like our problem population who are all on welfare. And never married or educated in the least.
