As the fallout from rapper Kanye West’s egregious anti-Semitic comments continues unabated and additional companies and organizations that he was commercially affiliated with rush to sever all ties and cancel all contracts with him, not only has it been reported that his income has taken a major hit but he has become increasingly more isolated.
It appears that just about everyone across the political spectrum has weighed in on West’s anti-Semitic tirade. His now deleted tweet says that he has every intention of going “death con 3 on Jewish people.” This, of course, came in the aftermath of his now famous interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
What spurred this was the fact that West and the Daily Wire’s conservative commentator Candace Owens decided to wear “White Lives Matter” t-shirts during fashion week in Paris.
Without intending to do so, West raised the level of conversation and national debate on the dramatic upsurge in anti-Semitism and visceral Jews hatred that is exploding across the country and around the world.
Commentators from both the left and right and anywhere in between are piping up and taking action against West as a bold statement that such hatred will not be tolerated, even if it emanates from a billionaire entertainer.
Noticeably absent in the chorus of condemnations against West is that of his associate, Candace Owens. For her part, Owens has a stellar record of boldly confronting racism and anti-Semitism in all its insidious forms. She is an intrepid political conservative who speaks truth to power while she meticulously exposes the nefarious agenda of the woke, progressive camp.
When it pertains to West, however, her defense of his blatantly anti-Semitic remarks is beyond confounding. This ill conceived defense of something she knows is painfully prejudicial and even dangerous, considering the times in which we live, stands in stark contrast to her political and personal ideology and one can only scratch their collective heads to understand her bizarre position.
To say that most people are exceptionally shocked and quite disappointed as it pertains to Owens’ defense and praise of West is a gross understatement. Owens had rightfully gained an inordinate amount of respect, admiration and praise from both the politically conservative camp and the Jews among them, and as such, we are all at a complete failure to comprehend her position on the West debacle. As a person who has consistently been bitterly opposed to anti-Semitic rhetoric and the diatribes that are spewed forth against Jews on social media and elsewhere, it is difficult to understand why Owens has radically shifted gears and thrown her support behind someone who is attacking a specific group of people with the most dangerous of stereotypes. Namely the Jews.
Kanye had absolutely no justification to lambaste Jews and to perpetuate falsehoods about them. The dribble that came out of Kanye’s mouth is nothing short of inflammatory hate speech that could lead to violence and mass slaughter.
Candace Owens, here is out question to you: How can you possibly find this not only acceptable but laudable as well?? Those who have followed you and supported you are owed a detailed explanation.
