The 2005 Withdrawal from Gaza

Dear Editor:

The withdrawal itself was a slap at G-d and encouragement to Amalek.

The 50 percent of Israel that opposed it were corralled behind barbed wire.

Then 50, 000 troops, mostly mercenaries (as tragically with Holy Bar Kochba), came fully armed to storm the gates of all 20 legally settled, agriculturally and religiously highly developed, Jewish gates. There was no meaningful resistance from its 8000 plus Jews.

I had strategized and pushed through another year’s delay, for more resistance. Instead of the already scheduled, forced evacuation and destruction; we rammed through the first Gay Parade taking place in Jerusalem. I correctly meant that would take away the security needed for the imminent forced excile of Gush Katif.

The previous year, we were invited for our timely, prestigious, first Judicial- Israeli fact -finding Mission. It included diversity in religion, race and creed. I particularly added respective ACLU -Gay leaders, Judges and advocates. We started galvanizing the necessary, mutual, international contacts and momentum. Instead of Israel turning all its energies to dispossessing its own Jews, its full attention turned to the first Gay parade in Jerusalem.

AFSI, myself, and so many others again went to try to persuade Gush Katif to ready its opposition and fortify itself. Failing that; naturally came the tearful, brutal, full Jewish capitulation, With the AIFL and AFSI, I went to the next, neighboring Hamas target, Shterot. We urged everywhere an obvious necessity of adequate protection for these Jewish, not Hamas, populations.

That didn’t help either.

Incredibly, neither did the inevitable Hamas’ invasions, or seized hostages -soldiers and civilians of all backgrounds and age. Neither did Hamas’ wars on Israel and barrages of missiles. Instead of doing what was needed and just to safeguard its populations, Israel always allowed Hamas endless opportunities.

Israel, America and the permanently sick, fascist countries declaring a Palestinian State”after Oct 7; learned nothing.

Jews accepted the blame, crippling its own force’s defenses, to spare instead these same Hamas -electing, war tunnel digging, forever supporting “civilians”.

The nations saw these results over and over a long time ago. Today, for them, Oct 7 was their intention and hope. With Oct 7, all bottled up Jew- hatred increasingly is open, as planned. Obama originally invited Hamas youth “ refugees” to our Universities, such as NYU and Harvard. Jews responded by enabling them to take over and stay in its new Slifka student center, by force. Qatar funded the obvious but never curtailed indoctrination. All Moslem countries, whether “ Abrahamic” or not, introduced raging, biased faculty and “ history” against Jews and Christians.

No entity intervened. Hillels were passive. Chabads were unconcerned and friendly. Protestors like me were warned, shunned, and censored..

Sincerely

Terrorists Disguised as “Human Rights Activists”

Dear Editor:

The Palestinian Arab group “Al Haq” is an innocent and “courageous” human rights organization that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has outlawed in order “to silence those who are documenting abuses.” So said an op-ed in the New York Times on October 2 by Agnes Callamard and Federico Barello, two anti-Israel activists who describe themselves as human rights monitors.

The truth about Al Haq is rather different.

To begin with, Al Haq was not outlawed by Netanyahu. It was banned in 2021 by the center-left Israeli government headed by Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid.

Israel outlawed Al Haq because of its close ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the terrorist group that pioneered the airplane hijackings of the 1970s. The PFLP has carried out many other atrocities since then, including the 2014 axe-murders of five rabbis in a Jerusalem synagogue.

Al Haq’s longtime director, Shawan Jabarin, has served prison time after being convicted of recruiting, and arranging training for, members of the PFLP.

And although Al Haq was not banned because of its opinions, it is worth noting that its senior spokesmen repeatedly published statements on social media calling the October 7, 2023 invasion of Israel by Hamas “legitimate resistance.” (The PFLP, by the way, has boasted of its participation in those atrocities.) One Al Haq official sent what he called “a message of intense love” to the October 7 perpetrators.

Sincerely
Prof. Rafael Medoff

Trump’s Plan is Brilliant

Dear Editor:

This is not 1938.

Israel is not Czechoslovakia. Both are/were surrounded by enemies. Former allies abandoned them. Czechoslovakia was weak and fell to the Nazis. Israel is strong and will defeat Islamic fanaticism.

Canada, Australia and others are being swallowed up by mass immigration. The Islamists have no interest in our mores and values.

These are not the immigrants who fled Europe 100 years ago. Our grandparents came looking for a better life and to join the mainstream. There was no social safety net; no medical benefits no unemployment insurance, no welfare. Our grandparents struggled and worked to give their children a chance to follow their dreams.

Today’s migrants, legal and illegal, are met by lawyers and social service agencies. They are given everything our grandparents worked 100 years to achieve. They are here to take over and we are handing them our heritage on a silver platter.

They want Israel. We are threatened. Perhaps this time appeasement will work and they won’t come for the rest of us.

Sincerely
