(TJV NEWS) Former President Donald Trump is forcefully denying allegations reported by The Wall Street Journal that he once sent convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein a bawdy birthday letter containing a drawing of a naked woman, intimate jokes, and references to shared “secrets.” The Journal reported Thursday evening that it had reviewed the alleged letter, which was part of a leather-bound compilation of tributes gifted to Epstein by Ghislaine Maxwell for his 50th birthday in 2003.

According to the WSJ, the letter attributed to Trump included a cartoonish sketch of a nude woman—complete with arcs representing breasts and a squiggly “Donald” signature as pubic hair—and a fictionalized exchange between “Donald” and “Jeffrey,” suggesting they had “certain things in common” and shared “wonderful secrets.”

The Journal did not publish an image of the letter, and its authenticity remains unverified. The letter is said to have been one of many in the book, which also reportedly featured contributions from billionaire Leslie Wexner and attorney Alan Dershowitz.

Trump strongly rejected the report, calling it a “fake Wall Street Journal story” during an interview with the paper on Tuesday. “This is not me. This is a fake thing,” he said. “I never wrote a picture in my life. I don’t draw pictures of women. It’s not my language. It’s not my words.” He warned that he would sue the Journal if it proceeded with publication: “I’m gonna sue The Wall Street Journal just like I sued everyone else.”

On Truth Social, Trump blasted the newspaper as a “disgusting and filthy rag” for publishing what he called a “false, malicious and defamatory” story. He claimed to have spoken with Journal owner Rupert Murdoch, who allegedly said he would intervene but “did not have the power to do so.” Trump also insisted that if there were any truth to claims of his involvement in Epstein’s sex-trafficking operation, prominent political foes like Hillary Clinton, John Brennan, and James Comey would have exposed it long ago.

Trump also announced Thursday night that he had directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to seek the release of grand jury testimony related to the Epstein case, citing what he called the “ridiculous amount of publicity” surrounding it. “President Trump—we are ready to move the court tomorrow to unseal the grand jury transcripts,” Bondi posted on X, formerly Twitter.

The alleged letter follows years of scrutiny over Trump’s prior relationship with Epstein, which he publicly downplayed after Epstein’s 2019 arrest. In a 2002 interview with New York magazine, Trump had spoken admiringly of Epstein, saying, “It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”

Vice President J.D. Vance also came to Trump’s defense Thursday, writing on social media, “Forgive my language but this story is complete and utter bullshit. The WSJ should be ashamed for publishing it. Where is this letter? Would you be shocked to learn they never showed it to us before publishing it? Does anyone honestly believe this sounds like Donald Trump?”

The Journal said the birthday book was compiled by Maxwell—who was convicted in 2021 for her role in Epstein’s trafficking network—and that it contained dozens of similarly stylized letters. Among them was one from Alan Dershowitz, formatted as a satirical “Vanity Unfair” magazine cover featuring the headline: “Who was Jack the Ripper? Was it Jeffrey Epstein?” Dershowitz told the Journal, “It’s been a long time and I don’t recall the content of what I may have written.” He has denied allegations that he engaged in sexual activity with Epstein-provided minors and has called for the release of all records to clear his name.

Trump has previously claimed his ties with Epstein ended around 2004, following a feud over a Palm Beach real estate deal. Epstein later pleaded guilty in 2008 to state charges of procuring a minor for prostitution, and again came under federal scrutiny before his death in custody in 2019. Reflecting on their past, Trump once told reporters: “I knew him like everybody in Palm Beach knew him. I was not a fan of his, that I can tell you.”
