(Daily Caller) “Hacks” actress Hannah Einbinder set off a firestorm at Sunday’s 2025 Emmy Awards after appearing on stage in Los Angeles wearing a red hand pin — a symbol critics say glorifies Palestinian terrorists.

Einbinder used her acceptance speech to promote pro-Palestine politics, triggering backlash online. Former Canadian member of Parliament Kevin Vuong blasted her on X the next day, arguing the accessory referenced Aziz Salha, a militant whose bloodied hands were photographed after killing two Israelis.

“If you’re wondering what Hannah Einbinder’s red hand pin is all about, it’s glorifying terrorist Aziz Salha, whose hands were bloodied from lynching two Israelis,” Vuong wrote.

Vuong didn’t mince words, and continued on his mission to expose what he believes is the true meaning behind Einbinder’s apparel choice.

Aziz Salha, the man at the center of the contention, was one of the Palestinians who murdered Israeli reservists Vadim Norzhich and Yossi Avrahami in Ramallah during the Second Intifada, according to The Times of Israel. Salha was sentenced to life in prison in 2004 but freed in 2011 as part of the Hamas-brokered exchange for kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.

An infamous photograph showed Salha leaning out of a Ramallah police station window with bloodied hands raised to the cheering crowd, earning him the nickname “Salha the Barbarian.”

Vuong was alone in condemning Einbinder’s choice — others also flagged the red hand pin as deeply disturbing.

Quds News Network reported on Einbinder’s pro-Palestine stance at the Emmys but blurred the Jewish star’s entire torso — including the pin — in its coverage, according to the New York Post.

Vuong said Einbinder’s gesture was enough to make him swear off her work altogether.

“I couldn’t agree more with my wife: ‘We are never watching Hacks,’” he wrote, adding the hashtag #Emmys.
