Elon Musk Blasts George Soros, Accuses Him of “Eroding the Fabric of Civilization” & “Hating Humanity”

Edited by: Fern Sidman

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has launched a fresh attack on fellow mogul George Soros, expressing his disapproval of the 93-year-old Democratic mega-donor’s influence, as was reported by the New York Post. Musk, who earlier this year compared Soros to the X-Men supervillain Magneto, has now criticized him for funding progressive, “soft-on-crime” prosecutors, believing that Soros’s actions are detrimental to society, the Post reported.

Musk voiced his concerns during a recent appearance on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, stating, “In my opinion, he fundamentally hates humanity. He’s doing things that erode the fabric of civilization, getting DAs elected who refuse to prosecute crime. That’s part of the problem in San Francisco and LA and other cities,” the Post report said.

Musk went on to propose his own theory on why Soros directs his efforts toward local races rather than national campaigns. The Post report also said that according to Musk, “Once you get to city and state district attorneys, the value for money is extremely good. Soros realized you don’t actually need to change the laws; you just need to change how they’re enforced.”

The Tesla CEO, who made headlines in the past for various controversial statements and actions, sipped on a drink throughout the podcast appearance, as was noted in the Post report. Host Joe Rogan, known for his eclectic show format, appeared in a Halloween costume featuring a blonde wig.

During the podcast, Musk also explained his decision to purchase Twitter for $44 billion last year. As was indicated in the Post report, he cited his belief that the platform was having a “corrosive effect” on society and accused Twitter of being “fundamentally controlled by the far left.” Musk argued that the platform functioned as an “information weapon” for radical progressives at the expense of diverse viewpoints, according to the report.

Elon Musk’s overhaul of Twitter, which included changing the company’s name to “X,” implementing premium features for users, and loosening content moderation standards, has faced intense scrutiny, the Post reported. This week, X employees were awarded stock, valuing the company at just $19 billion, which is less than half of what Musk paid to acquire Twitter one year ago.

As was reported last week by the New York based Jewish Voice, George Soros’ Open Society Foundation, has contributed over $15 million to groups responsible for the recent Pro-Palestinian rallies.

As reported by the NY Post, the Open Society Foundation has allocated some $16.3 million in grants since 2016 to left advocacy groups which have proven themselves to be anti-Israel.  The report says that roughly $13.7 million was granted to the Tides Center, a broad social justice nonprofit which has openly justified Hamas’s savage terrorist attack on Israel while saying Palestinians are the real victims.   The Tides foundation has distributed funds to an Illinois-based Adalah Justice Project, a Palestinian advocacy group.

On the Oct. 7th bloody massacre, the group had posted a picture on Instagram of a bulldozer tearing part of Israel’s border fence down with a caption, reading: “Israeli colonizers believed they could indefinitely trap two million people in an open-air prison… no cage goes unchallenged.”  Adalah’s members also co-sponsored a rally in Bryant Park on Oct. 20, in which angry protesters yelled anti-Semitic chants and waved a sign saying, “I DO NOT CONDEMN HAMAS.”  The same group had also stormed into California Rep. Ro Khanna’s office demanding the Democrat sign a resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.

The Open Society Foundation also granted $1.5 million to Adalah’s founding nonprofit, Adalah – The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel.  However, only about $800,000 of it was dispersed, as the legal center cut ties with the American organization in 2018. The legal center says its mission is to promote human rights in Israel.

The charity foundation also gave $60,000 in 2018 to the Arab American Association of New York, a group which helped plan a hate-filled “Flood Brooklyn for Palestine” protest in Bay Ridge on Oct. 21.  The group, co-founded by politically connected activist Linda Sarsour, had led the rally in which protestors called for the eradication of Israel and held a sign of the Israeli flag in the gatbage, with a caption that read “Please keep the world clean!”

The Open Society Foundation gave another $30,000 in 2020 to Desis Rising Up and Moving, another group which co-sponsor of the Bryant Park protest, during which 139 people were arrested, per the NY Post.  The Soros backed philanthropy group, has also given to Palestinian advocacy groups including Jewish Voice for Peace and If Not Now.  Jewish Voice for Peace received $650,000.  Its website says, “Israeli apartheid and occupation — and United States complicity in that oppression — are the source of all this violence.”.  If Not Now, which co-sponsored the Bryant Park rally,  had received $400,000.

Dan Schneider, vice president of the conservative watchdog group Media Research Center, recently co-authored a letter along with MRC President demanding that Soros stop donating to groups who have shown their true colors recently by spewing anti-Israel rhetoric. “George Soros and his son Alex have a long history of supporting the most radical organizations across the planet, and that includes pro-Hamas organizations that support the most heinous kind of behavior,” said Schneider.  “We’ve called on George Soros to withdraw this funding, but he seems very determined to continue supporting anti-Semitic organizations that want to upend western civilization.”

Open Society Foundations, and related nonprofits founded by Soros, have generously donated in total over $32 billion to numerous nonprofits across the globe since 1984, per the organization’s website.
