(TJV NEWS) As public pressure mounts on the federal government to release everything it knows about Jeffrey Epstein, attention is shifting to an extraordinary cache of unreleased material held not by the state—but by Steve Bannon.

According to NBC News and journalist Michael Tracey, Bannon conducted more than 15 hours of videotaped interviews with Epstein between 2018 and 2019—after The Miami Herald’s groundbreaking reporting reignited scrutiny of Epstein’s sex-trafficking past, but before his July 2019 arrest and subsequent death in jail.

These interviews, Bannon confirmed, were initially intended for a documentary titled The Monsters: Epstein’s Life Among the Global Elite, which was teased in a 2021 trailer but has yet to be released. Bannon recently told NBC News the five-part series will finally debut “early next year.”

Epstein’s brother, Mark Epstein, told NBC News that the former Trump advisor “spent a lot of time” with Epstein and was trying to help him “rehabilitate his reputation.” He added, “[Bannon] told me he has like 15 or 16 hours of videotape of Jeff.”

Investigative journalist Michael Tracey, writing on his Substack, reported that Bannon and Epstein likely met in December 2017. By that time, Bannon had left the Trump White House but remained a towering figure on the populist right. Tracey also cites Fire and Fury by Michael Wolff, which claims Bannon was involved in strategic media meetings with Epstein in 2018 or 2019—sessions that included high-profile figures like former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.

According to Wolff’s account, Bannon candidly remarked during one such meeting: “[Epstein] probably can’t be hated any more. We’ve flatlined on this… What’s the alternative?”

The extent of Bannon’s motives remains unclear. Was he acting as a friend, a fixer, or a paid PR consultant? Radio France previously reported that Epstein’s Paris butler recalled Bannon visiting Epstein in France—where Epstein was often surrounded by “jeunes femmes.”

Bannon has not exactly shied away from controversial claims. On his War Room podcast and in speeches, Bannon has repeatedly accused both U.S. and Israeli intelligence agencies of being entangled in the Epstein operation.

“This story goes right to the intelligence services of both this country and Israel,” Bannon said. “That’s why all the Israel First guys—the Tel Aviv Mark Levins—say ‘nothing to see here.’”

Amid renewed scrutiny of Epstein’s ties to intelligence, finance, and global elites, Bannon has publicly urged Donald Trump to appoint a special counsel to oversee a full release of Epstein-related documents. Speaking at a recent Turning Point USA event, Bannon said:
“Epstein is a key that picks the lock on so many things… not just individuals, but also institutions, intelligence services, and foreign governments.”

Mark Epstein, for his part, just wants access to the tapes of his brother. “Let me see the videotapes. He’s my brother,” he told NBC News.

Still, some speculate the interviews may be more tame than tantalizing, potentially shaped as part of a failed PR campaign. But with more than 15 hours of unseen footage featuring one of the most secretive and powerful figures of the 21st century, Bannon is sitting on material that could further shake the foundations of elite power networks.

Until the tapes are released, one of the most puzzling and disturbing stories in recent American history remains unfinished.
