After a panel of experts and 10Best editors selected and announced the 20 nominees in early August, readers were able to cast their votes once daily for four weeks. The Poconos has been nominated in this contest several years in a row and ranked in the Top 10 each time, securing 8th place in 2020 and 4th place in 2019.
“We are honored to receive this recognition. The Pocono Mountains is a great four-season destination, with
fall being a prime time to visit,” said Chris Barrett, President/CEO of the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau. “From hopping in the car for a scenic cruise to climbing aboard a fall foliage train or chairlift, there are
so many ways to enjoy autumn throughout our 2,400 square mile, four-county region.”
The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau (PMVB) launched its highly-popular
Fall Foliage Forecast yesterday, September 9. Split into three distinct zones and updated every Thursday, the online forecast shows when and where leaves are projected to be at their peak across the Poconos. This tool, a great resource for locals and visitors alike, is available through the end of October.
