(Breitbart/TJV/NESWMAX) Reports indicate that two immigrant detainees are dead and one person is in critical condition in Dallas after an attack on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility early Wednesday morning. Reports indicate the shooter is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to FOX News and FOX 4 sources, the sniper who killed at least two people at the Dallas ICE facility early Wednesday morning was 29-year-old Joshua Jahn, who fired at a vehicle he believed was transporting ICE officers, instead the far left moonbat killed the very people he was violently in support of, illegal immigrants, before taking his own life.
This shooting comes shortly after the Trump administration designated the leftist group Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization and declared war on leftist NGOs sowing chaos.
Democrats and their allied leftist groups have fueled toxic and harmful rhetoric against federal agents, whether it’s ICE or Border Patrol, as well as everyday Americans, calling anyone they disagree with “Nazis” or “Fascists,” which only normalizes assassination culture.
In a news conference on Newsmax, local law enforcement found rounds containing “messages that are anti-ICE in nature” near the suspected assassin.
In a statement on social media, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Kash Patel wrote:
While the investigation is ongoing, an initial review of the evidence shows an idealogical motive behind this attack (see photo below). One of the unspent shell casings recovered was engraved with the phrase “ANTI ICE.” More updates will be forthcoming.
These despicable, politically motivated attacks against law enforcement are not a one-off. We are only miles from Prarieland Texas where just two months ago an individual ambushed a separate ICE facility targeting their officers. It has to end and the FBI and our partners will lead the these investigative efforts to see to it that those who target our law enforcement are pursued and brought to the fullest extent of justice.
Thankfully, no law enforcement personnel were injured. Please pray for the injured and deceased.
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, forcefully condemned what he called dangerous, politically motivated rhetoric against ICE and Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
“This needs to stop,” Cruz said at the news conference, pointing to the attack as the third shooting in Texas targeting ICE or CBP. “Violence is wrong. Politically motivated violence is wrong.
He also referenced the recent attempted political assassination in Utah as part of a troubling pattern.
Cruz directly called out politicians who, in his words, have demonized ICE and CBP agents, encouraged doxxing, and put law enforcement families at risk.
“This has very real consequences,” he warned. “Your political opponents are not Nazis. We need to learn to work together without demonizing each other.”
The senator praised the bravery of ICE, CBP, and law enforcement officers, urging prayers for the victims, their families, and those who continue to serve in dangerous roles. While acknowledging debates over immigration policy are legitimate, Cruz stressed they must take place “in the halls of Congress,” not through rhetoric that could incite violence.
“Our prayers are with the men and women of law enforcement,” Cruz said. “This violence is wrong, and it needs to stop.”
Police received information regarding a possible sniper near the ICE office on North Stemmons Freeway in Dallas at about 7 a.m. Wednesday. Sources say the shooter was found dead on the roof of a nearby immigration attorney’s office, WFAA reported.
Dallas Police Department officials issued a statement, reporting:
On September 24, 2025, at about 6:40 a.m., Dallas Police responded to an assist officer call in the 8100 block of north Stemmons Freeway. The preliminary investigation determined that a suspect opened fire at a government building from an adjacent building. Two people were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. One victim died at the scene. The suspect is deceased.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem issued a statement, saying:
Details are still emerging but we can confirm there were multiple injuries and fatalities. The shooter is deceased by a self-inflicted gun shot wound. While we don’t know motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them. It must stop. Please pray for the victims and their families.

“While we don’t know motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them,” Noem stated. “It must stop.”
Vice President JD Vance reposted Noem’s statement and added, “The obsessive attack on law enforcement, particularly ICE, must stop. I’m praying for everyone hurt in this attack and for their families.”

Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons reportedly indicated that no ICE officers were shot. The dead and wounded were all immigrant detainees. “It could be employees, it could be civilians that were visiting the facility, it could be detainees,” Lyons told reporters. “At this point, we’re still working through that.”

Breitbart Texas reached out to ICE officials for additional information on the shooting incident. A response was not available at press time.
Fox4 Dallas reported that a man was arrested in August for approaching a Dallas ICE facility with what he claimed was a “detonator.” Agents arrested 36-year-old Bratton Dean Wilkinson, saying he claimed to have a bomb in his backpack. He is charged with making terroristic threats.
