The majority of voters in swing states said they support extending a $600 weekly payment to Americans who have lost their jobs as the coronavirus pandemic continues to ravage the economy.

Key figures in the CNBC/Change Research poll:

• A combined 62% said they strongly support or somewhat support the continuation of the $600 weekly unemployment benefits, which are on top of whatever a person is collecting from their state.
• A combined 80% said the government should send another round of $1,200 payments to Americans who make less than $99,000.
• A combined 69% said the federal government should step in and provide financial relief to state and local governments that are facing budget shortfalls related to the pandemic.

The $600 weekly payments expired last week. Congress is working to resume the program, and Senate Republicans have proposed cutting the payments to $200 per week, which Democrats disagree on.
