(TJV NEWS) Late Friday night, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry took to social media platform X to confirm that three of the ten inmates who escaped from a New Orleans jail had been recaptured. “3 down, 7 to go, and we ARE NOT slowing down!” Landry posted, adding the emphatic message, “LOCK THEM UP!”
As Zero Hedge reported, the dramatic jailbreak was caught on video and involved a group of inmates breaking through a hole behind a toilet in the Orleans Parish jail. According to local media reports, the escape occurred around 1:00 a.m. Friday morning.
Sheriff Susan Hutson stated that the escapees may have had help from people inside the jail. She also revealed that one staff member witnessed the escape via surveillance footage but failed to report it, Zero Hedge pointed out.

Authorities did not realize the inmates were missing until a routine head count at 8:30 a.m.—more than seven hours after the breakout—giving the fugitives a significant head start.
Before fleeing, the inmates scrawled mocking messages on the wall for jail staff, including one that read, “To[o] easy LoL.”
The seven individuals still at large are: Corey Boyd, Leo Tate, Jermaine Donald, Derrick Groves, Lenton Vanburen, Antoine T. Massey, and Gary C. Price. The three who have been apprehended are Kendall Myles, Robert Moody, and Dkenan Dennis, local media in Louisiana reported
