(TJV NEWS) Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has declassified a trove of documents she says expose “overwhelming evidence” that the Obama administration deliberately politicized intelligence to initiate the now-discredited Trump-Russia investigation following Donald Trump’s 2016 election victory.

According to Gabbard, the newly released material outlines how then-President Barack Obama and top national security officials—including James Comey (FBI), John Brennan (CIA), and James Clapper (DNI)—orchestrated a shift in the Intelligence Community’s stance on Russian election interference, despite earlier assessments stating Russia lacked both the intent and capability to impact the election outcome.

A December 8, 2016 intelligence briefing reportedly concluded that Russia had not influenced the election. However, Gabbard says this assessment was pulled under sudden “new guidance” before reaching the president. The very next day, top intelligence leaders met at the Obama White House, where Obama allegedly directed them to produce a new report attributing the election result to Russian meddling—contradicting months of prior intelligence.

That assessment, released on January 6, 2017, shortly before Trump’s inauguration, leaned on the now-discredited Steele Dossier and served as the foundation for years of investigations and public distrust surrounding Trump’s presidency.

General Mike Flynn, a central figure in the early days of the Trump administration, responded to the revelations with disbelief, calling the situation “surreal.”

Gabbard alleges this amounts to a “treasonous conspiracy” to subvert the democratic process and has submitted the documents to the Department of Justice for further investigation and potential prosecution of those involved.

“All Americans should be alarmed,” she said. “This was a direct attack on our democratic republic, and those responsible must be held accountable.”
