(i24) After the murder of his best friend and his wife at the Nova music festival, Amit’s only goal now is to ensure the future of the couple’s children
Among the many tragic stories from the October 7 massacre, is that of Adir and Shiraz, who were murdered along with their friend Céline Ben David while on the road to the Nova Music Festival.
Shiraz and Adir were murdered by Hamas on October 7.
Their little girls, ages 8 and 10, will grow up without parents.

Amit and Adir had been lifelong friends since age 14. Now aged 40, Amit is struggling to come to terms with the loss.
“All three were supposed to arrive at the festival on Saturday morning, and we were waiting for them when the rocket warning sirens started to sound,” Amit told i24NEWS. “They were on their way, stopped the car and headed towards a shelter. Unfortunately, terrorists were already there,” he adds, before explaining how he heard the gunshots live while he was on the phone with them.
“Adir was shot. He came out of the shelter and was killed instantly by the terrorists. What I know today is that they then threw grenades into the shelter where they were hiding, and that is what killed Shiraz and Celine. I’m trying to make sense of it all, but there isn’t any.”
For several days after the attack, Celine was thought to have been taken hostage due to failure to identify her body. Her husband said that on the way there, the group of friends had decided to turn around.
To shake himself out of the shock and do something good, Amit decided to team up with mutual friends and launch a fundraiser to help Adir and Shiraz’s two little girls who are now orphans: Goshen, 10-years-old, and Gili, 7-years-old. To support the family, donate here
