Luxury resort of terror: Freed Hamas killers lounge in five-star Cairo hotel as experts warn of “Hezbollah 2.0” in exile

(TJV NEWS) As the Daily Mail first reported, more than 150 of the world’s most dangerous convicted terrorists—freed from Israeli prisons in a desperate bid to secure a ceasefire and the final release of hostages—are now living in luxury at Cairo’s five-star Mirage City Hotel, complete with spa, pool, and private balconies.

According to Daily Mail’s reporting, these extremists, once serving life sentences for suicide bombings, kidnappings, and murders, are now plotting their next moves from a resort better known for family vacations than terrorist reunions. Among them is Mahmoud Issa, the ruthless founder of Hamas’s Special Unit 101, infamous for orchestrating kidnappings and suicide attacks, and Izz a-Din al-Hamamrah, who recruited bombers and masterminded hijackings.

“These people are our sworn enemies,” warned Professor Anthony Glees, emeritus professor at the University of Buckingham, in remarks cited by the Daily Mail. “They will cut off the heads of British soldiers and kill left, right and centre. We must not let them collect together—otherwise, you’re setting up a terrorist army in exile. It will be Hezbollah 2.0.”

A former Israeli intelligence officer, identified as Guy C, echoed that warning in the Daily Mail’s investigation, saying the freed militants now enjoy free movement across the Middle East and Europe. “They can walk freely, travel even to the UK, receive donations from naive supporters, and re-establish their terror networks,” he said.

The Daily Mail first reported that the Mirage City Hotel—rooms starting at £200 a night—is hosting notorious murderers like Samir Abu Nima, who killed six people including an 11-year-old in the 1983 Jerusalem bus bombing, and kidnapper Ismail Hamdan. Guests sipping cocktails by the pool may have no idea they are sharing the grounds with men once condemned as Israel’s most dangerous killers.

Despite their past crimes, the terrorists appear to be thriving in luxury. Some were seen hosting weddings, taking selfies with fans, and withdrawing piles of cash from hotel ATMs—funds believed to have come from the Palestinian Authority’s “Pay for Slay” policy, as Daily Mail first reported.

Israeli officials expressed fury but said the releases were the “bitter price” for life. “Israel freed them not to reward evil but because we value human life above all,” said David Mencer from the Prime Minister’s Office.

Behind the palm trees and manicured courtyards, security sources told the Daily Mail that these men remain under watch by Egyptian intelligence—but their ability to regroup, communicate, and move money freely is alarming Western agencies.

In the words of one analyst quoted by the Daily Mail: “What began as a peace deal may soon prove to be a training ground for the next war.”
