President Isaac Herzog will travel to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland with the main goal of advocating for the release of the remaining hostages in Gaza.

Traveling with the President is his wife First Lady Michal Herzog, and they will meet with the families of hostages and attend various diplomatic meetings.

The First Lady will join the Second Gentleman of the United States, Douglas Emoff, and Jonathan Greenblatt, director of the Anti-Defamation League in a panel discussion about rising anti-Semitism.

President Herzog’s main purpose for attending the conference is to advocate on behalf of the hostages and plead with representatives attending to put pressure on until all captives are released.

He will discuss with world leaders the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7th.

Israel will be showing the 47-minute video taken from actual footage of Hamas terrorists and security cameras demonstrating the extent of the cruelty and murder executed by Hamas on October 7th.

President Herzog will also discuss with leaders Israel’s humanitarian efforts.

He will also describe the serious security threat Israel is facing and that the threat won’t disappear as long as Hamas holds sway in Gaza.

In addition to Herzog’s attending the WEF, there was some welcome news revealed by Qatar that it and France had negotiated a deal that would give hostages the medical care they need and have been lacking.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry announced a deal that would ensure medicine reaches hostages in exchange for Israel assisting in the transfer of more humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza.

Qatar said it will continue to negotiate between Israel and Hamas “within the framework of Qatari efforts to bring about an end to the war in Gaza.”

French President Emmanuel Macron discussed the deal and said France’s Foreign Ministry provided medicine for 45 hostages.

In other Israel related news, World Israel News reported that a senior Israeli minister called for a boycott of Turkey Monday, after an Israeli soccer player was dropped from his Turkish soccer club and arrested for offering his support to Israelis held captive by Gaza terrorists.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir (Otzma Yehudit) called Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan a “Nazi,” and accused Turkish authorities of “Nazism” in Sagiv Jehezkel.a every sense. I call on Israelis not to fly to Turkey, not to buy any Turkish products, and not to help them make a living. The State of Israel and Israeli citizens must not be forgiving towards Turkey. We cannot let them trample us.”

Jehezkel, who had played for Turkey’s  Antalyaspor soccer club, was booted from the team and jailed after he made a public show of support for Israelis held captive by Gaza terrorists.

During a game Sunday, the Israeli soccer star had shown off his bandaged wrist to the cameras and made a heart sign with his hands after scoring a goal. Jehezkel had written on his wrist “100 days 10/7,” referring to the date of the Hamas invasion of Israel.

The soccer club terminated his contract shortly thereafter, and Jehezkel was inundated with hate mail and death threats.
