Israel Bonds New Leadership Spotlights United Hatzalah
Edited by: TJVNews.com
On October 25, at a New York City-based Israeli startup, Israel Bonds New Leadership proudly gathered to raise much-needed awareness and support for United Hatzalah.
The life-saving community-based volunteer emergency medical services (EMS) organization is committed to providing the fastest response to medical emergencies across Israel even prior to the arrival of ambulances and completely free of charge.
The Double Mitzvah program offers the opportunity to benefit the State of Israel by investing in the Shalom Bond—specifically designated for this purpose and available in one- or two-year options—and then donating it to a charity. The charity receives the principal and interest when the bond matures.
“When emergencies occur, rapid medical treatment increases the chances of survival exponentially. Using specially equipped motorcycle ambulances, United Hatzalah’s network of more than 6,500 volunteer medics helps save thousands of lives each year across Israel by providing medical treatment in an average response time of 3 minutes or less,” stated Michelle Nambar, Young Leadership Director of Friends of United Hatzalah of Israel, who was the featured speaker at this special event, which drew more than 45 young people from all over the Tri-State area.
Israel Bonds New Leadership chose this important organization that is currently treating both civilians and IDF personnel since the war broke out after Hamas brutal October 7 attack on the Jewish state.
“This is an investment in not only Israel but also in the safety and well-being of our family and friends in Israel,” said Micah Cohen, Israel Bonds New Leadership Director, underscoring the importance of this double impact.
Israel Bonds New Leadership is a volunteer-led initiative co-chaired by Albert Babayev and Aliza Fagen. They are supported by a National New Leadership Council of volunteers and Israel Bonds professional staff.
