(TJV NEWS) Israel believes that between 1,000 and 1,500 members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and other Iranian security forces have been killed since the launch of its latest military campaign, according to an Israeli source cited by The Jerusalem Post.

While some internal estimates place the death toll even higher, Israeli officials are currently working with a more conservative figure of more than 1,000 Iranian security personnel killed. The fatalities are said to have occurred since the start of Operation Roaring Lion and the joint U.S.-Israeli campaign known as Operation Epic Fury, which began Saturday.

According to reporting by The Jerusalem Post, Israeli strikes have targeted a wide range of Iranian military and government assets. Facilities linked to the IRGC, the Basij militia, and other state institutions have been hit in coordinated attacks across multiple locations.

On Monday, Israel carried out what officials described as a major strike in Tehran. The operation focused on internal security emergency centers as well as installations connected to the Basij and the IRGC. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) later confirmed that more than 10 headquarters tied to Iran’s Intelligence Ministry and positions associated with the IRGC’s Quds Force were struck.

The Israeli Air Force also reportedly targeted surface-to-surface missile launchers, weapons manufacturing sites, and additional facilities connected to the IRGC Air Force. The IDF released infographics detailing the locations of several of the targeted IRGC sites in Tehran.

Amid the ongoing exchanges, IDF Intelligence Directorate Chief Maj.-Gen. Shlomi Binder held a situational assessment with senior intelligence officials at military headquarters in Tel Aviv.

Speaking about the early stages of the campaign, Binder said Israeli forces achieved tactical surprise by launching operations at an unexpected hour. “In 40 seconds, we eliminated more than 40 of the most important people in Iran,” he said, adding that the campaign is still underway.

Reflecting on the broader conflict, Binder said the strikes were meant to send a clear warning. “Looking at the past two years of the war, I believe we are sending a very clear message to our enemies: there is no place where we will not find them,” he stated.

The strikes come amid continued retaliatory missile launches from Iran, further escalating tensions between the two adversaries as the military campaign unfolds.
