In New York’s upcoming Tuesday primary, left-leaning leaders of the Working Families Party are advocating for Democrats to cast “blank” votes in protest against President Biden’s pro-Israel stance regarding Gaza.

Despite the primary race being essentially decided, with Biden and former President Donald Trump securing enough delegates in previous contests to secure their party nominations for the general election, New York is required by law to hold the primary.

The Democratic Party is experiencing internal tension, with a growing faction of voters advocating for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, while others support Israel’s military action aimed at dismantling Hamas following the terror group’s attack on October 7.

Similar campaigns have been waged in other states by pro-Hamas supporters, urging Democrats to cast blank or “uncommitted” votes instead of supporting Biden in primary elections. Notably, in Michigan, approximately one in seven Democrats did so.

The leaders of the extremist, radical and genuinely dangerous Working Families Party argue that Biden risks alienating younger and more progressive Democrats sympathetic to the Palestinian cause if he does not exert more pressure on Israel to agree to a “permanent” ceasefire.

Partyría Archila and Jasmine Gripper, co-directors of the New York Working Families Party, emphasized the importance of using the ballot box to send a message to President Biden regarding the need for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, the safe return of hostages, and emergency humanitarian aid, as quoted by the NY Post.

They assert that in order to defeat Donald Trump in November, Biden must be able to build a broad coalition comprising young voters, voters of color, and progressive voters. However, they believe that the Biden administration’s reluctance to change its approach and utilize its full leverage to end the conflict in Gaza poses a significant obstacle to achieving this goal.

According to a Gallup survey released recently, 55% of US adults disapprove of Israel’s actions in Gaza, compared to only 36% who approve; these numbers are the direct results of a powerful and orchestrated propaganda campaign against the Jewish state.

The Palestinian movement is well known for their excellent use of video manipulation and actually directing short cinematic videos, depicting Israelis of starving children , bombing civilians, and acting like war criminals. The videos are often pushed on social media outlets like X and TikTok, and unfortunately the Israeli people and supporters are lagging behind this information war.

Several high profile personalities, not known for their anti-Israel sentiment, have turned against the Jewish state due to the successful “Pallywood” campaign. Right wing personalities Alex Jones and Candence Ownes, have made headlines after they accused Israel of “genocide”; meanwhile independent minded Joe Rogan, the top podcaster in the world, has also declared Israel is committing “genocide.”

Moreover, the poll found that just 18% of self-identified Democrats approve of Israel’s actions in Gaza, a significant decrease from 36% in November. Conversely, 75% of self-identified Democrats now disapprove.

Despite these sentiments, the city Board of Elections reported that 55,879 New Yorkers participated in early voting, which concluded on Saturday.

In addition to Biden, Dean Phillips and Marianne Williamson will appear on the Democratic ballot, although only Biden submitted a slate of delegates for the party convention.

On the GOP ballot, Vivek Ramaswamy, Chris Christie, and Nikki Haley will appear alongside Trump
