In a troubling turn of events, the Brooklyn office of Representative Dan Goldman was vandalized for the second time since the eruption of the Israel-Hamas conflict in October. The incident, which occurred on Monday, involved a masked protester splattering blood-red wax on the office’s exterior.

Surveillance footage obtained by The Post captured the masked individual, clad in a black hoodie, covering the district office with the sticky substance before swiftly fleeing the scene. Additionally, the vandal was seen carrying a sign with a provocative message reading, “the blood of my family on your f—ing hands.”

Although the footage reveals the presence of two women at the scene, their connection to the perpetrator remains unclear.

Goldman’s communications director, Madison Andrus, expressed deep concern over the incident, labeling it as “deeply troubling” and highlighting the dangers posed by targeting the staff of a Jewish elected official during a period marked by heightened antisemitic violence.

The NYPD responded to a call reporting the act of vandalism as “criminal mischief” at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Monday. As of now, no arrests have been made, and an investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Monday’s act of vandalism coincided with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s authorization of a combined airstrike and evacuation plan on Rafah, the last Hamas stronghold in the Gaza Strip. This decision sparked controversy and unrest, further exacerbating tensions surrounding the Israel-Hamas conflict.

A now-deleted Instagram story posted by the “NY10 Neighbors” group, comprising multiracial and multi-faith constituents of Congressional District 10 advocating for a ceasefire, allegedly encouraged protesters to gather outside Goldman’s office in response to the airstrike and evacuation plan in Rafah.

This incident marks the second time the lawmaker’s office has been targeted within a span of three months. In November, messages including “Blood on ur [sic] hands,” “free Palestine,” and “let Gaza live” were discovered scrawled on the sidewalk outside the office. The initial act of vandalism occurred shortly after Goldman participated in a “March for Israel” rally, drawing nearly 300,000 supporters to the National Mall that same month.

Moreover, Goldman recently made headlines for his decision to join a bipartisan vote to censure Representative Rashida Tlaib over her use of the slogan “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” This stance may have further heightened tensions surrounding Goldman and his office, particularly amidst the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.

A member of the Democratic Party, Goldman previously served as lead majority counsel in the first impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump and lead counsel to House Managers in Trump’s subsequent impeachment trial, as was reported by Wikipedia.org. Goldman is among the wealthiest members of Congress, with an estimated personal net worth of up to $253 million according to financial disclosure forms.

After graduating from law school, Goldman clerked for Charles Breyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and Robert D. Sack of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Wikipedia also reported that from 2007 to 2017, Goldman was an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York under Preet Bharara. He prosecuted Russian organized crime, Genovese crime family mobsters, including Fotios Geas, who murdered Whitey Bulger while in prison, and a variety of white-collar crime and securities fraud. In 2017, Goldman was the lead prosecutor of Billy Walters, a sports bettor who was convicted for insider trading.
