Former NYC Congressional representative Anthony Weiner was a darling of the progressive left, a staunch supporter of abortion, gay rights, and every left-wing cause under the sun, until he was busted trolling the internet for underage girls using his infamous screen name “Carlos Danger,” destroying his marriage, his reputation, and ending up in jail.
On May 27, 2011, Weiner used his public Twitter account to send a link to a woman who was following him on Twitter. The link contained a sexually explicit photograph of himself. After several days of denying that he had posted the image, Weiner held a press conference at which he admitted he had “exchanged messages and photos of an explicit nature with about six women over the last three years” and apologized for his earlier denials. After an explicit photo was leaked through the Twitter account of a listener of The Opie & Anthony Show, a onetime popular shock jock radio show, WSJ reported. Weiner announced on June 16, 2011, that he would resign from Congress, and he formally did so on June 21, USA Today reported. A special election was held on September 13, 2011, to replace him; Republican businessman Bob Turner defeated Democrat David Weprin to fill Weiner’s seat.
In September 2016, claims were published that Weiner had engaged in sexting with a 15-year-old girl from North Carolina, and devices owned by Weiner were seized as part of an investigation into this incident. On May 19, 2017, The New York Times reported that Weiner had surrendered to the FBI that morning. Under an agreement, Weiner faced a sentence of 21 to 27 months in federal prison and would be required to register as a sex offender. At his sentencing hearing on September 25, 201 Weiner was sentenced to 21 months in prison, Weiner was released from prison in 2019.
Weiner’s ex-wife is soon releasing a book detailing the aftermath of this incredible scandal.
NY Post reported:
The long-suffering former top aide to Hillary Clinton opened up in her first-ever TV appearance about the emotional and mental toll Weiner’s sicko behavior had on her.
“You write that, for a brief second, you contemplated walking off the subway platform?” “CBS Evening News” anchor Norah O’Donnell asks Abedin, whose memoir is set to hit shelves on Tuesday.
“Well, one of the best things I’ve had in my life is my faith, and the belief that there is always a way through,” Abedin, 45, replied.
At the end of the interview, O’Donnell asked Abedin — who shares 9-year-old son Jordan with Weiner — whether she’s still “angry” with the disgraced congressman.
“I can’t live in that space anymore,” she said. “I tried that. It almost killed me.”
Abedin, also became the topic of many rumors after the FBI seized her husband’s computer. The stories read like a horror movie but have not been verified. Allegedly, a NYPD detective claimed a snuff movie was found on the laptop of Anthony Weiner, featuring Hillary Clinton murdering a child in a Satanic ritual , with Abedin present wearing a hood!! Nobody has been able to confirm any of this, other than mysterious anonymous sources, but to this day the rumors persist, and it all began because of her husband’s quest for cheating on his wife and the temptations of the internet.
