The final showdown in the 2025 New York City mayoral race is scheduled for tonight at 7 p.m., where Democratic frontrunner Zohran Mamdani, former Governor-turned-independent Andrew Cuomo and Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa will meet at the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center in Long Island City.
LIVE STREAM BELOW STARTS 7 PM EST
The hour-and-a-half debate offers one final opportunity for each to address critical issues with millions of voters tuning in before early voting begins.
Expect the candidates to clash over three central themes: public safety, housing affordability and New York’s international role, particularly in relation to Israel and Jewish community security. In previous debates, Mamdani pledged rent freezes and bold social-policy reforms; Cuomo emphasized experience and economic stability; and Sliwa focused on law-and-order and policing.
The Anti-Defamation League has also pressed for clear positions on the rising tide of antisemitism in the city, making it likely that the debate will include sharp exchanges on how each candidate plans to protect Jewish communities.
Viewers can watch the debate live on Spectrum NY1 and stream it via the channel’s website or app.
Moderated by journalists from NY1, WNYC and THE CITY, the forum promises pointed questions and live audience interaction. With ballots arriving soon and the race remaining tight, the candidates will leave it all on stage — and voters will be watching closely.
