(VINnews) — In a wrenching Instagram post, American actress and show host Mayim Bialik described her feelings on the current situation. Bialik prefaced her words by saying: “Imagine that there was a massacre- say of 50,000 Americans [the proportionate number of Americans to the amount of Israelis massacred on Simchas Torah] and imagine that around the world there were tens of demonstrations calling for further massacres- this is how we feel right now.”

She added that she is shocked at the “swiftness with which the world adopts the Palestinian narrative.”
Bialik said that as her 18-year-old son prepares to go to college in the US, most if not all of the colleges have yet to denounce organizations which celebrate massacres of Jewish people and have not stopped funds being allocated for pro-Palestinian student groups which support the acts of Hamas. Bialik described in horror how the chant “We want a Jewish genocide” was heard at her own alma mater [UCLA- she has a doctorate in neuroscience], stating that “This is not acceptable, not normal.” In other anti-Semitic incidents she records “Homes are being threatened because of Mezuzos on the door, Jewish stars are being painted on Jewish homes all over the world. I’m no longer afraid to draw comparisons with the global attempt at the elimination of the Jewish people.”
Bialik, who admitted she has supported a Palestinian state in the past, said that “decolonialism should not look like decapitated babies, disemboweled humans and raped women, and tens of thousands marching in support of such terrorist acts.” She says that she feels now like a “stranger in a strange land”, scared even to send her child to school events or to college, but concludes by thanking those who stand with Israel and support peace.
