The past month has shaken the core of every Jew in the United States and globally as the rise in anti-Semitism which had heretofore been widely acknowledged in the general population seems to have permeated the hallowed halls of Hollywood.  Many were chagrined at the lack of public outcry by Hollywood A-listers such as Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, the Kardashians and George Clooney whose utter silence after nearly 2,000 Israeli civilians were slaughtered on October 7th was troubling-to say the least.  President of the Holocaust Survivors Foundation USA, David Schaecter, was so perturbed by Director Steven Spielberg’s reticence he penned a letter remarking “countless survivors are heartbroken you have not spoken out against terrorism and the millions who celebrate the shedding of Jewish blood.”  While Spielberg may have documented the stories of thousands of survivors through his Shoah Foundation and movie Schindler’s List, the Hamas atrocities he will not touch-as his representatives said he received the letter but would not respond.

Spielberg’s history with Israel has been less than exemplary as his 2005 “Munich” movie was lambasted by Israel’s consul general as it equated the gunmen from the Palestinian Black September Group who held the athletes hostage with the Mossad who were hunting them down-moral equivalence is all the rage.  At the time he remarked the biggest threat to the Middle East was “neither the Palestinians nor the Israelis but the intransigence on both sides.”  Thanks for clearing that up Mr. Spielberg-do you still feel that way? Maybe we are lucky he has remained voiceless as those in his famous clique: Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Spielberg, and the Obamas have mostly done.

Except unfortunately for Barack, who recently remarked “all of us are complicit… Nobody’s hands are clean… the Hamas attacks are horrific and occupation of Palestinians are unbearable”.  Barack’s hands certainly aren’t clean as he gave Iran billions of dollars that directly funded the Hamas terror attacks.  Barack points out the heartbreak of Palestinian “bodies being pulled from the rubble” while never mentioning the Jewish babies whose eyes were gouged out as they watched their parents being shot to which one 6 year old boy cried, “how can I live when my father is dead?”

Shame on Obama and Queen Rania of Jordan who similarly put blame for the Hamas atrocities on Israel’s occupation with Rania calling into question the veracity of reports of butchered children-most of which were documented by cameras of proud Hamas killers-one of whom called his parents to gloat “mom I killed ten Jews with my own hands” to which his father chanted “Allahu Akhbar” (God is Great)! Queen Rania even made anti-Israel CNN anchor Christiane Amanpour flinch while Amanpour later agreed with Rania’s sentiment of unfair one-sided support for Israel.  Most disappointing of all is child advocate Angelina Jolie who finally responded to the world events on October 28th with some vague acknowledgment of the death of innocent civilians.

However, her true sympathies were exposed with her subsequent Instagram post containing a picture of a razed Gaza which she referred to as an open-air prison for two decades as she decried the killing of innocent Palestinian children in “mass graves” and called for an immediate ceasefire without which “world leaders are complicit in these crimes.” Her father Jon Voight expressed dismay that “his daughter had no understanding of the glory of God, and the Holy Land… the land of the Jews.”  Angie caused quite a stir with nearly half a million comments most of them hostile to her stance yet she was unmoved standing with the murderous Hamas in their call for a cessation of hostilities before Israel has responded.

NEW: Actor Jon Voight is publicly scolding his daughter Angelina Jolie, saying he is “disappointed” in her for attacking Israel.

Others on the ceasefire bandwagon include over 250 Hollywood luminaries who signed an Artists4Ceasefire letter that said “compassion must prevail” while failing to display empathy for the thousands of Jews killed.  A host of anti-Israel naysayers including Omar Sy, Bella and Gigi Hadid, Channing Tatum, Cate Blanchett, Judah Friedlander, Brad Cooper, JLo and Ben Affleck, Mark Ruffalo, Mark Rylance, Padma Lakshmi, Rosie O’Donnell,  Kirsten Dunst, Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield implored Biden to stop the bombing of Gaza. What right do these privileged, money hungry, out-of-touch elitists have to tell Israel what to do?

Anti-Semite rapper Macklemore who famously dressed up as a large-nosed Hasid for his 2014 concert joined the Pro-Palestinian Washington rally November 4th where he called Israel’s actions a “genocide.”  A sentiment that has been shared by B-list actors Mark Ruffalo and John Cusack who continually post on Israel’s war crimes and apartheid government-urging a boycott.  Mark Ruffalo spearheaded ceasefire calls on October 11th four days after the attack but has been quieter than a usual Israel pre-occupied Ruffalo.  Why is that? His publicist undoubtedly sat him down and said Mark your new movie “All the Light We Cannot See” on Netflix is coming out where you ironically play a locksmith fleeing Nazi occupied France how about you tone down the anti-Semitic rhetoric.  And so Mark has made ceasefire calls a priority along with the safe return of hostages hoping for a safe return to his pathetic career.  Selena Gomez the most popular woman on Instagram with 430 million followers waited until November 3rd to condemn the hate “towards any one group” and then backed down saying her posts “won’t change the world”-jeopardizing her career wasn’t worth it.  Who can forget her calls to “pray for Gaza” in 2014 while claiming not to pick sides-give me a break.  It is no accident her bestie Taylor Swift ate at Minetta Tavern Friday November 3rd, a restaurant owned by Israel hater Keith McNally who implored everyone to listen to Hamas immediately after the October 7th attacks.  I am still traumatized by turncoat Alicia Keys who on October 7th donned Palestinian colors to declare she wanted to take up “paragliding” a mode of transportation used by Hamas to slaughter Jews.  While she claimed ignorance as to its meaning being that she is a follower of Black Lives Matter who shamefully used the images of murderous paragliders for their October 11th post “We Stand with Palestine” Alicia is lying.  Her response that she “prays and stands for peace” without condemning Hamas is further evidence of her true intent.  Next time Alicia Keys seeks to use the land of Israel for her moneymaking concerts the government must say “never again”-as all those turning against Israel must themselves be boycotted.
