The IDF announced Sunday that it eliminated several terrorists involved in the Oct. 7 attacks, including individuals linked to the abduction of Israeli-American hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin and other captives.

Based on intelligence assessments, the strike killed Ali Sami Mohammad Shakra, who infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre and participated in the kidnapping of Goldberg-Polin, Alon Ohel, Eliya Cohen and Or Levy from a bomb shelter in Re’im.

According to the IDF, troops operating together with the Israel Security Agency targeted an armed Hamas terrorist cell.

American-Israeli Hersh Goldberg-Polin, 23, was abducted from a bomb shelter during the October 7 attack after a grenade blast severed his arm.

He later appeared in Hamas videos and became a widely recognized figure in the hostage crisis, while his parents led an international campaign calling for his release. He was killed in Gaza in late August 2024 along with five other hostages.

The IDF also said that Mohammad Mabhouh and Mohammad Fuad Jaser Sayyid were eliminated in the same operation.
