Cuomo on Sex Harassment Claims: ‘I Didn’t Do Anything Wrong’ – Gets Job Offer from Biden

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday denied the several sexual harassment allegations against him, claiming to have done nothing wrong despite weeks ago admitting he felt “embarrassed” for acting in ways that “made people feel uncomfortable.”

Even with countless scandals surrounding his name, President Biden still has confidence in Cuomo and has offered him a job dealing with the Covid virus.

During an appearance at the State Fairgrounds in Syracuse on Monday, Cuomo essentially dismissed the investigation into his conduct following weeks of women, including former staffers, accusing him of inappropriate behavior.

This was Cuomo’s first press conference since the scandals of sexual harassment and nursing home deaths started making headlines.

Cuomo has crept back into the news as allegations that the governor used state resources to produce and promote “American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the Covid-19 Pandemic,” have come to light. Cuomo received a hefty advance from the publisher and may have also violated labor laws by having staffers help with the book. His book was a disaster and has sold a microscopic number of copies. The ego maniac governor who loved being on television every day, has practically vanished from the public.

Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli sent a letter to state Attorney General Letitia James requesting a criminal investigation into Cuomo’s actions, in his latest scandal.

At his Syracuse appearance, the media was more interested in the sexual harassment allegations, than the equally serious other scandals.

“The report can’t say anything different, because I didn’t do anything wrong,” Cuomo said of the inquiry lodged by state Attorney General, Letitia James, a Democrat.

Cuomo’s sharp denial follows what some say amounted to an apology early last month, stating he now understood his actions “may have been insensitive or too personal and that some of my comments, given my position, made others feel in ways I never intended.”

“I acknowledge some of the things I have said have been misinterpreted as an unwanted flirtation. To the extent anyone felt that way, I am terribly sorry about that,” he said, claiming to have “never inappropriately touched anybody.”

However, he made it clear that he had no intention of resigning, despite the mounting calls for him to step down.

Meanwhile, despite Cuomo residing over the highest amount of COVID deaths in the country and failing to protest seniors in Nursing homes, Cuomo is “failing Upward”

Cuomo has reportedly taken over the leadership of the weekly White House conference calls with the nation’s governors about the coronavirus pandemic, since President Joe Biden does not join them.

Philip Wegmann of RealClearPolitics reported Monday that Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have both opted not to join the weekly conference calls with governors, unlike former President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.
