Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is urging Democrats to ensure a transparent process for selecting their presidential nominee after President Biden announced he would not seek re-election. Speaking on “Fox & Friends,” Kennedy emphasized the need for a genuinely open process, citing former President Obama’s call for transparency, and criticized the primary system as being manipulated. He expressed skepticism about the Democratic Party’s willingness to make the process fair, claiming it appears rigged to the American public.

Kennedy, now running as an independent, stated he would not seek the Democratic nomination due to the perceived lack of fairness in the system. He mentioned that if the process were equitable, he would consider participating. Kennedy also claimed that polling indicates he is the only candidate capable of defeating Donald Trump.

With Vice President Kamala Harris entering the race with Biden’s endorsement, Kennedy argued she must explain her role in concealing the president’s condition. He accused her of misleading the public about Biden’s capabilities, suggesting she will face significant challenges against any opponent due to her involvement in this deception.

At a press conference from his family’s compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, Kennedy acknowledged Biden’s long public service career while criticizing Democratic Party leaders for covering up Biden’s cognitive decline. He accused the Democratic National Committee (DNC) of using their influence to protect Biden from competition that might reveal his weaknesses.
