*(TJV NEWS) Victoria’s Secret & Co. has been hit by a cybersecurity problem, Bloomberg reported. Because of this, the company shut down some online and in-store services. They also told workers not to use company computers or systems.

Employees were locked out of their email on Wednesday, according to someone familiar with the situation, Bloomberg said. The company’s stock dropped 6.9% that day.

In a note seen by Bloomberg, CEO Hillary Super said, “Recovery is going to take a while.” She also said customer service and some shipping centers had stopped working.

This is not the only recent attack on a big company. Adidas AG said that a third-party provider was hacked, and customer emails were stolen.

Bloomberg also said other UK retailers were attacked. Marks & Spencer said it could lose up to £300 million ($403 million) from a cyberattack caused by a mistake at one of their vendors. The Co-op grocery chain said hackers stole customer data. Harrods said someone tried to break into their systems too.

A group called DragonForce said it was behind the UK attacks. These hacks happened around the same time BBRC International Pte. Ltd. increased its investment in Victoria’s Secret. In response, the company put a poison pill plan in place to protect itself.
