In a world that changes faster than we can process, where uncertainty and external pressures seem to govern everything, one question arises that we all ask ourselves:
Who am I really when no one is watching?
For me, the answer came from experience, from taking risks, enduring pain, and embracing a passion for turning every challenge into growth.
I Was Not Born to Fit In
I was born in San Cristóbal, Táchira, Venezuela, a city where human warmth is a way of life. In every home, there is coffee, conversation, and open doors. It was there that I learned something essential: true wealth lies in connection and in being true to yourself.
From a young age, I knew I was different. Not out of rebellion, but because rules that limit your essence never convinced me. My father used to say:
“Daughter, wherever you go, be yourself.”
Today, I understand that this lesson is more valuable than any formal instruction. In a world saturated with expectations, being who you are gives you freedom, peace, and clarity.
From Adversity to Rebirth
My life has been marked by moments that could have broken many. I was a victim of robbery and an express kidnapping situations that taught me that strength is not optional; it is essential. I learned to rely on God and to refuse letting criticism or my surroundings define me.
When I emigrated, I found calm, freedom, and clarity. I realized that life is a ship in which only you decide the direction, despite obstacles or temptations. Even when I was unjustly deported, I vowed to return home to Aruba and I did, stronger than before, without losing my smile or my ability to encourage others.
These experiences taught me that resilience is not just about enduring but about transforming pain into lessons that can guide others.
Turning Passion into Purpose
Today, I work in sales, representing international brands of wine, spirits, tobacco, mineral water, and sake. I am a sommelier of both wine and sake, and my work goes beyond products: every encounter with clients, colleagues, or friends is an opportunity to share authenticity, joy, and understanding.
My work is an extension of my essence: a way to heal, inspire, and reconnect with what truly matters, showing that behind every drink, there are stories, hands, passion, and humanity that deserve recognition.
Every day, I strive to be a better human being, so I can transmit my essence to those around me. In every sale, in every conversation, I seek to prevent external emotions and thoughts from draining our energy. My purpose is to show that authenticity and humility not only enrich our personal lives but also the way we connect with the world.
Nature and Animals as Teachers
In the silence of plants, the sound of the wind, and the rhythm of the waves, I find clarity and peace. Nature reminds me that life is not about forcing outcomes but about flowing—like the moon evolving every night, like the sunrise that does not compete with the sunset.
Animals, part of us and the planet, teach lessons beyond words. Their eyes speak of peace, true love, respect, and deep connection. Observing them reminds me of the importance of compassion and empathy, inspiring me to reflect those values in my life and work.
All of this reminds me that every living being is a teacher: inviting us to live mindfully, to listen beyond the noise, and to value essence over appearance.
A Message to the World
Today, in an era of constant change and external expectations, I firmly believe that the greatest competitive advantage is not technology, strategy, or professional title it is authenticity.
Being true to yourself frees you, connects you with your intuition, and gives you the strength to overcome any adversity. When you live from your truth, you inspire others to do the same, transforming not only your world but also the world of those around you.
My story is not just mine. It is a reminder that, despite difficulties, life can be beautiful when you choose to lead with authenticity, passion, humility, and respect for all the beings who share this planet with us.
