A spokesman for the Houthis vowed that the terror group would take revenge on the Jewish State, after Israel bombed the Port of Hodeida and a nearby concrete factory on Monday evening.

The Israeli bombing, which was followed by American airstrikes, came one day after a Houthi missile struck Ben-Gurion Airport in central Israel.

“The Zionist-American attack on the port of Hodeida and the concrete factory in Bajal is a heinous crime that will not pass in silence,” wrote Houthi official Hazam al-Assad on X, in a Hebrew-language tweet that appeared to have been generated via an automated translation.

“The blood of the citizens and workers will be the fuel for a harsh and resounding Yemeni reaction. We will continue to support Gaza with faith and determination, and strike the enemy deep and disrupt its movements until the aggression ceases and the siege is lifted. The reaction is close… it will be painful and surprising,” al-Assad added.

On Sunday morning, a missile launched by the Yemen-based Houthis sent millions of Israelis in central Israel scrambling to bomb shelters.

Around 9:20 a.m., the missile struck the grounds of Ben-Gurion Airport, after the Israeli long-range Arrow missile defense system and the American THAAD air defense system failed to intercept the projectile.

Since the October 7th massacres, the Houthis have launched hundreds of missiles and explosive drones at the Jewish State, framing the attacks as an act of solidarity with Gaza.

Sunday’s strike marked the first time that the Houthis, who pledged to launch an aerial blockade of the airport, successfully struck Israel’s main international transportation hub.

Following the strike, dozens of airlines have cancelled flights to and from Israel.

Israeli carriers and Israeli-owned regional airlines are continuing to service the airport.

  1. What do the Houthis expect? They attack Israel, of course Israel is going to defend itself as is their right. What I find interesting is that if you really read the Koran there is NO MENTION of Palestinians, however it is mentioned that Allah gave the land (which is Israel) to the Jewish people. So that alone – if they claim to be followers of Islam should negate any claim the Palestinians have to the land.
