MSNBC has axed Joy Reid’s The ReidOut amid the network’s disastrous ratings decline, according to a Daily Mail report. The failing network is scrambling to stop the bleeding as Americans continue rejecting its radical left-wing propaganda.
Reid’s final show is set to air this week, with MSNBC replacing her 7 p.m. ET slot with a panel program featuring Symone Sanders Townsend, Alicia Menendez, and Michael Steele—more of the same DNC-approved talking heads.
The decision comes under the leadership of newly installed MSNBC president Rebecca Kutler, who is attempting to salvage the sinking network, Daily Mail reports. More programming shakeups are expected as MSNBC tries—likely in vain—to revive its crumbling primetime lineup.
Despite an aggressive push to stay relevant, MSNBC suffered one of its worst months in history, with January’s ratings hitting record lows in the crucial 25-54 demographic. Advertisers prize this group for its spending power, yet MSNBC has driven them away with relentless partisan agitprop. During prime-time hours (8-11 p.m. ET), MSNBC could barely scrape together an audience of 734,000—while CNN performed even worse with just 522,000 viewers.
The collapse is even more apparent when looking at the year-over-year numbers. MSNBC has hemorrhaged nearly half of its 25-54 audience compared to last year, continuing a shocking 65% decline since the last election. Overall primetime viewership has plummeted by 41% from 2024, an embarrassing downward spiral for the leftist network.
A Network in Freefall
MSNBC’s troubles come as legacy media networks struggle in a shifting landscape. With their credibility in tatters, left-wing media outlets are finding it harder than ever to maintain their shrinking audiences.
MSNBC’s previous moves to stop the ratings disaster—such as bringing back Rachel Maddow five nights a week—have failed spectacularly. Maddow, once a marquee name for MSNBC, has seen her influence wane despite her massive salary. Her failed return underscores just how desperate MSNBC has become.
The network’s problems go beyond ratings. NBCUniversal recently agreed to a $30 million defamation settlement after MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow and other on-air personalities falsely smeared a Georgia gynecologist as a “uterus collector.” This is just another example of MSNBC’s reckless disregard for the truth, further proving why Americans are tuning out in droves.
Comcast’s Shameful Endorsement of MSNBC’s Divisive Rhetoric
It is nothing short of shameful that Comcast continues to platform MSNBC’s radical and divisive programming. Joy Reid, one of the most inflammatory voices on television, has spent years pushing blatant race-baiting, misinformation, and outright lies—all in service of the Democratic Party’s agenda.
Her toxic rhetoric has been a stain on American discourse, fanning the flames of division while masquerading as journalism. MSNBC’s decision to finally dump her show is long overdue, but it doesn’t change the network’s identity as a mouthpiece for the far-left.
With CNN and MSNBC in freefall, Fox News continues to dominate cable news, further proving that Americans are rejecting the media’s blatant manipulation. As Daily Mail points out, MSNBC’s leadership is in turmoil, with MSNBC President Rashida Jones abruptly departing in January—another sign that the network is in complete disarray.
The bottom line? MSNBC’s brand of leftist propaganda is toxic, dangerous, and unwatchable. Comcast’s decision to continue airing such reckless agitprop is a disgrace, but judging by MSNBC’s freefalling ratings, the American people are making their voices heard loud and clear.
