KEY QUOTES: STERLIN WATERS, POLICY ADVISOR, NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL, WHITE HOUSE:

  • “If Biden won again he could be much more forthright about saying ‘No’ (to Israel).”
  • “There’s a huge, powerful Jewish influence in Republican and Democrat politics and the administration is definitely facing a conundrum of … you know, siding or like, being as active as some of the more progressive democratic liberal factions … and losing the next administration because of that.”
  • “To really point out that Israel has so much more power in this situation… there’s the media and powerful people who can twist that to say, ‘Oh, we’ve been ostracized for so long and now even the U.S… is against us.’ To play like, a martyr. We would lose [the election].”
  • “We can help you [Israel] in the way that we can, but you’re not going to continue to lie, and bomb, and kill all these kids without facing serious consequences.”
  • “But that is a second term decision bandwidth not a first term, you know… [Biden will lose] enough support that we can’t get to 270 electoral votes.”

A current White House official on staff with the National Security Council stated in a Project Veritas undercover recording that President Joe Biden is waiting for a second term to condemn Israel’s actions in Gaza but can’t say so due to ‘powerful Jewish influences’ that could cost him the election.

Sterlin Waters, a cyber policy advisor for the National Security Council, told a Veritas journalist that Joe Biden is a facing a ‘conundrum’ that prevents him from condemning Israel’s actions in Gaza. Waters reports to Deputy National Security Advisor for Cyber and Emerging Technology, Anne Neuberger, who reports to NSA Director Jake Sullivan. On camera Waters refers to his boss Neuberger as “very Jewish.”

During the six-minute recording, Waters discusses internal White House deliberations about the ongoing conflict in Gaza and admits that “if Biden won again he could be much more forthright about saying ‘No’ [to Israel],” stating that the administration would have more freedom to tell Israel ‘you’re not going to continue to lie, and bomb, and kill all these kids without facing serious consequences.’”

The undercover disclosures detail the Biden administration’s juggling act in its race to 270 electoral votes – revealing the strain President Biden faces as his party splits between influential Jewish interests and progressive pro-Palestinian youth who want the administration to end its support for Israel. These revelations also show the degree to which electoral politics are influencing the nation’s foreign policy decisions.

Over the weekend Biden received applause from Morehouse College graduates when he acknowledged the recent eruption of campus protests and called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza during his commencement remarks.

However, on undercover video NSC advisor Waters paints a different picture in which Biden is muzzled from expressing his true opinion on Israel’s military strategy.

“To really point out that Israel has so much more power in this situation… there’s the media and powerful people who can twist that to say, ‘Oh, we’ve been ostracized for so long and now even the US…is against us,’ to play like, a martyr. We would lose [the election.]”

Biden continues to flip flop in his public stance on the conflict – announcing in late April that the administration would pause a shipment of munitions to Israel over concerns that civilians had been killed by these weapons. Later in mid-May, the Biden administration told Congress it intends to move forward on a new $1 billion weapons deal with Israel.

White House spokesperson Andrew Bates responded to recent criticism of Biden’s weapons pause on Sunday by reaffirming Biden’s “ironclad” support for Israel’s security and said, “There has been no better friend to Israel than President Biden.”

Israel launched a military campaign in Gaza to destroy Hamas in response to the group’s October 7th attack which resulted in 1,200 deaths and 252 hostages. Gaza’s Health Ministry has estimated the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to over 35,000 people.

Will Biden’s administration abruptly change its stance on the Israel conflict in a second administration? Stay tuned.
