Call me old fashioned, but I recall the days when we could easily detect the stench of Jew hate. Now, the new mantra is defined by muddy moral relativism where one is mandated to find the “good” in all things, and avoid legitimate criticism, for fear of being called a ‘bigot.’ “Evil” bad actors no longer exist. Only those who need a dialogue (or a hug).
Mamdani: “I’m not an antisemite but…I declare I will arrest the PM of Israel if he comes to NYC.” A Brown Shirt mob stormed the Park East synagogue. Following demands for condemnation, Mamdani reacts by saying yes, all have a right to worship without fear, but then blames the victims of this mob, these same Park East Jews for hosting an “internationally illegal” event, that event being the audacity to host Nefesh B’Nefesh, a well known tour group regarding interest in moving to Israel.
Mamdani thus ensures Hitler’s tactics and legacy lives on. Hitler loved to blame the Jews for their own extermination, for mob attacks on their businesses, homes and synagogues—they deserved it— thus absolving himself of any wrong doing, a diabolical but successful strategy we now witness in NYC, home to the largest population of Jews in America. I deny being an antisemite, but my close advisor is No-Zionists-Allowed Jew and Israel hater, CAIR darling Linda Sarsour.
My party is Dem. Socialists who chant “death to the IDF” and pass resolutions condemning Israel. I call for an end to Israel “as a Jewish State” but reluctantly state it has a “right” to exist. I support candidate Aber Kawas who has expressed support for convicted terrorists, is a fan of imam Siraj Wahhaj who served as a character witness for Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman, the mastermind of the 1993 bombing, calling him a “respected scholar” and blames America for 9/11.
This so obvious doublespeak of Mamdani is almost laughable, if it wasn’t so dangerous. He mocks us all, insults our intelligence with half hearted attempts to gloss over and reinterpret his own vile bigotry while setting up the groundwork for future candidates with similar rejections of Western, Judeo-Christian moral core values to be replaced with Islamic worldview dominance. He uses the benign pretense of just wanting more affordability for everyone to storm troop his real agenda of using this win to get others like him to run for office, the long term take down of America, capitalism and Western values of freedom of thought, ostracizing any support for Israel and marginalizing the Jewish community.
Are decent New Yorkers that lacking in critical thinking skills? Are the Jews who voted for this lout Mamdani that naive? Is Jerry Nadler, (former) prominent Jew & NYC Rep, who loudly voted for Mamdani, without any moral sense or integrity? Coward and whore Chuck Schumer, the most powerful Jew in America, while claiming to support Israel, congratulated Mamdani instead of condemning him. NYC has become a cesspool for our lowest common denominators, our most ill-informed, bigoted populace, our over and under educated ‘progressives’, our too passive, too comfortable, spoiled Jewish community, our cowardly Jewish “Leaders” who have yet to realize the more you bend over for these Jew haters, the harder they will kick you.
Our failed Jewish leaders only know how to issue letters of dismay after the latest horror upon us, instead of being on the offense to fight it. Where were the mass protests by the thousands of the 1.3 million NY Jews, along with other faiths, while this lout was running for office? Where were the Democratic Party Jewish candidates to run against this Mamdani? Where are our own relentless billboards, full page ads, refuting the Big Lies about Israel, refuting with facts, the lie of genocide? Nowhere to be found. The mob pogrom to the Park East synagogue is just beginning. And our children will pay dearly for our failures.
The afterbirth of this colossal failure of Jewish leadership means many NYC Jews are setting up shop elsewhere. Our future will be made up of new Jewish “ghettos”, areas where other Jews live, in order to continue to be a Jew, to feel safer in numbers. “Rabbi Marc Schneier announced plans to open the first Jewish Day School in the Hamptons, citing concerns about an antisemitic climate in New York City following the mayoral election.” Jews are also moving to Connecticut and increasingly to Florida, one of the few places where Jews are actually still welcomed.
“Modern antisemitism says that Jews do not have the right to a state, and that the Jewish state is uniquely evil. The hate that animates this is the same as for all the other antisemitisms. Just because it is called “anti-Zionism” doesn’t mean it is different. It is simply the newest flavor. As in the previous antisemitisms…they are excuses to not feel like a bigot. And anti-Zionism is exactly the same.” A colleague writes “Demonization of Israel is one of the key reasons for the uptick in anti-Semitic attacks. Perpetrated by the media, these lies and distortions often go unchecked by Jewish organizations and the result is the lies continue to spread, fueled by the media (and the UN).”
Elders of Zion: “So perhaps the question “Where are you?”—a question that so many asked God during the Holocaust, and which so many of us have been asking God ever since, is not a question for us to ask God, but a question for God to ask us. Where was the moral compass of the millions who simply looked the other way as the Nazis and their army of willing executioners perpetrated such monstrous evil. Rather than honestly confront this standing question, people instead tried to excuse their inaction. Too often, they justified their failure to accept our moral obligations to one another by hiding behind another question.”
“Progressives” are silent or worse, joining with those who are anti “Zionism”. When you lose your moral compass, you end up in this bottomless quagmire of doubt and impotence. Identifying and standing up to Jew hate, especially in this newest mutation is the kind of clear morally imperative choice I grew up with. But then again, those were the days when we learned to take a hit from playing dodge ball without cowering or blaming others for our own moral failures.

The fact that one-third of Jews in NYC voted for Mamdani proves a point of view I have had for a long time: Jews are their own worst enemy,
