Slovenia is a country which during World War II saw all of its Jews murdered in the Holocaust.  Did the leadership in Slovenia step in to prevent the annihilation?  Absolutely not.  There were European countries that did make some effort to prevent the genocide against the Jewish community, but Slovenia was not one of them.

The other nations that refuse to participate with Israel are Ireland, Spain, and Netherlands.  Ireland had a long history of fighting a bloody, brutal war with England as a result of religious differences between Protestants and Catholics.  I remember rooming with a guy in law school who was Irish Protestant.  He said that his family had no opportunity for survival living in Ireland.

Great portions of the population of Ireland migrated from that destitute country to the United States in the 19^th and early 20^th Centuries.  Ireland has absolutely no pretense to the moral upper hand.  Ireland fought the British without the slightest respect for civilian collateral damage.  For Ireland to refuse to participate with Israel, which has fought off terrorism for 100 years, and has managed to survive, is the height of hypocrisy.  Like Ireland, Israel has fought for its survival, independence, and respect in the world.  Unlike Ireland, Israel has not sought to demonize other countries which have waged a long and hard battle for survival.

Then there is Spain and Netherlands.  At one time, Catholic Spain controlled the Netherlands.  The Spanish not only embraced the Inquisition, burning those at the stake who did not prove their loyalty to the Church, but it was also heavily involved in the annihilation of Native Americans in North America.  In 1492, the Spanish kicked all the Muslim Moors out of their country and expelled hundreds of thousands of Jews.  Spain has one of the worst human rights records in all of history. The human scars imposed by that nation are felt to this very day.

When the Netherlands gained their independence from Spain, that nation became something of a refuge for those fleeing the Spanish Inquisition.  The Dutch East India company did considerable business in the New World.  However, this did not stop Dutch authorities from banning Jews in the Delaware Territory which consisted of Delaware and Pennsylvania.  It also did not discourage the Dutch from attempting to ban the Jews from even living in New Amsterdam.  Fortunately, the Dutch East India company, not the government of the Netherlands, reversed the racist and discriminatory policies imposed by Dutch governors.

The Netherlands has a checkered, albeit blatantly racist past.  Today, the Netherlands like to present themselves as the “liberals” of the world given their acceptance of legalized prostitution, drug use, and other so-called “social programs.”  However, the Netherlands are not liberal enough to respect the Jews of Israel who have resided in their own land for well over 3,000 years and have turned the desert into green pastures.

Somehow it irks the authorities in the Netherlands that Israel has survived multiple attempts to seek its destruction over the millennia, most recently by Arab invasions on a fourfold basis since 1948.  The Netherlands seems to operate with no moral conscience, other than to distort history and impose a standard upon the Jewish people the Netherlands itself does not observe.

Hypocrisy is nothing new.  Most countries will participate in the Eurovision competition.  Those countries which are abstaining from Eurovision because of the presence and existence of Israel are following their historically discriminatory and racist past.  How unfortunate.

Some of these nations, which tout their leftwing credentials, have failed to stand up for the men and women who on October 7^th were murdered, decapitated, disfigured, raped, and tortured.  Not a word.

The Spanish invented a word for the Jews of their land, Marrano, which means “pig.”  Such is the mentality which is the disgrace of Spanish history.  The Conquistadors did their best to destroy the culture and existence of South, Central, and North Americans, and today they have as little sympathy for the Jewish people and Israel.

The Netherlands are a phony representative of a liberal and tolerant people.  They are the opposite of their announced mantra.  Neither Ireland or Slovenia has anything to brag about when it comes to their treatment of others, their neighbors, or even their own population.

The Eurovision competition will go on, and perhaps as in other years, Israelis will win.  Throughout the world Israel continues to compete, whether it be judo, sailing, soccer, or you name it.  Israelis will continue to contribute to the culture of the world, will cure diseases, and advance scientific developments which makes Earth a safer and better place to live on.  Israeli doctors will save the lives of their enemies, as they did when they performed brain surgery on the man chiefly responsible for October 7^th.  Israeli hospitals will continue to be full of doctors, nurses, and healthcare provides who are Jews, Muslims, Christians, and a variety of other groups that many westerners never even heard of.

The spirit of truth is evident in the Israeli behavior.  This tiny nation with less than 8 million people, 6 million of whom are Jews, will continue to enliven, enlighten, and create a better environment for all residents of Earth.

Well, at least I now know of four nations where I need not waste my money visiting.  When the residents of Slovenia, Ireland, Spain, and the Netherlands utilize their healing medicine, use their upgraded cellphones, drink water purified from the sea, and engage in a host of other activities which they take for granted, they can say “thank you” Israel.
