The headlines are breathless. Michigan Democratic Rep. Shri Thanedar has filed articles of impeachment against former President Donald Trump, according to The Hill. Liberal outlets are falling over themselves to celebrate Thanedar’s “courage,” conveniently ignoring the towering mountain of corruption, fraud, and cruelty that defines his past.
The only reporters daring to remind the public about Thanedar’s disgusting past are intrepid and independent reporters such as Laura Loomer, as the mainstream media would never provide any backstory that would question the character of a new Democrat political “folk hero”. His past is tossed down the memory hole, and the reporting about Rep. Thanedar from nearly a decade ago is buried at the bottom of Google searches and ignored by broadcast “journalists.”

While Thanedar tries to grandstand with impeachment articles that have zero chance of succeeding in the Republican-controlled House, the media is busy polishing his image, not reporting on the man himself. If the press had any integrity left, they’d be reminding the public who Shri Thanedar really is: a failed businessman, a failed gubernatorial candidate, and a man whose companies left a trail of abandoned animals and shady financial dealings.
Let’s start with the cold, hard facts the media ignores:
Business Fraud and Lies to Enrich Himself
In 2016, Thanedar was slapped with a federal lawsuit for “fraudulent and misleading” conduct related to the sale of his company, Avomeen Holdings, according to the Detroit Free Press. The lawsuit accuses him of manipulating company financial records, backdating invoices, and directing employees to falsify revenue streams to inflate the company’s value — all so he could pocket a staggering $20 million from the sale.
He didn’t just “bend the truth” — he allegedly engineered an entire fraudulent scheme, one so egregious that the purchasers sought to rescind the sale entirely and demanded punitive damages. Thanedar, predictably, denies everything. But legal documents don’t lie.
This is the same “self-made” millionaire the media is now propping up as a democracy-saving champion because he’s taking potshots at Trump.
Abandonment of Animals After Bankruptcy
And it gets worse. Thanedar’s former pharmaceutical company, Azopharma, went bankrupt in 2010 — and what happened next is truly disgusting. According to HuffPost and Michigan Advance, Thanedar’s shuttered New Jersey animal testing facility, AniClin Preclinical Services, left 173 dogs and monkeys trapped and abandoned inside after the collapse.
Lab workers were literally jumping fences to get in and feed the starving animals. It took weeks of rescue efforts to save them. The images and videos from that nightmare — beagles terrified and caged, monkeys neglected — are seared into the memories of those who fought to save them.
Thanedar’s response? He shrugged, telling HuffPost he had “no knowledge” of how the animals were being treated — a pathetic excuse from the man in charge. No apologies, no ownership. Just cold, calculated indifference.
A Career of Failure Dressed Up as Success
Thanedar’s political career isn’t much better. In 2018, he self-funded a failed gubernatorial campaign in Michigan, dumping millions of his own (allegedly ill-gotten) fortune into the race — only to finish a distant third behind Gretchen Whitmer and Abdul El-Sayed.
Throughout the campaign, other left-wing progressives called him out. El-Sayed’s team and others questioned his “progressive” credentials, pointing to his business background and pattern of self-serving behavior. He was never a true man of the people — he was a man of profit and self-promotion.
The Media’s Real Agenda: Attack Trump, No Matter the Messenger
So why is the media gaslighting the public now? Because in their eyes, anyone who targets Trump becomes an instant hero — no matter how dirty their past is.
It doesn’t matter if Shri Thanedar allegedly defrauded investors. It doesn’t matter if he abandoned animals to die in cages. It doesn’t matter if he’s failed upwards his entire career. It only matters that he’s attacking Donald Trump.
The liberal media doesn’t vet their new “heroes” — they manufacture them. And in doing so, they insult the intelligence of the American people.
Whatever Thanedar’s past may be, filing articles of impeachment is a serious matter. This is especially true when a president’s approval ratings are middling at best.
According to findings from a Fox News poll published April 23, border security is the only issue where Trump’s ratings are in positive territory (55%). On immigration, 47% approve of Trump (48% disapprove). But Trump has hit a new low of 38% approval on the economy (56% disapprove). His worst ratings are on inflation (33% approve, 59% disapprove), followed by tariffs (33%-58%), foreign policy (40%-54%), taxes (38%-53%), and guns (41%-44%).
If the economy worsens, especially with inflation increasing as a result of the tariffs, an angry electorate could support removal from office.
Momentum starts small.
Too bad they didn’t do the same when joeboy was President…there was MORE than enough evidence seen with your own eyes to realize he wasn’t capable of putting his own pants on …much less run a country. He has been a racist, lying slime from his day as Senator…and the washing swamp tried their best to portray him as a gentle, kind, old man with years of experience behind him. So forgive us if we don’t feel that President Trump is doing a bad job…he’s not a swamp dweller and he, at least, is trying to fix the country…joeboy slept for most of his 4 years in office…and the media ignored anything he did that “wasn’t right”.
We are in the midst of a revolution. 100 days isn’t a lot of time before you start judging someone’s performance. I agree with the President. Who is taking the polls? He will fix the economy. Takes time. More important, let him fix our health and rid us of all the toxic medications, seed oils, etc. This is the beginning.
Silly comments. Senate runs the trial if president is impeached. No chance of Republican Senate convicting him.
