Nalin Haley, a right-wing activist and the son of former South Carolina Governor and 2024 Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley, appeared on Tucker Carlson’s podcast last week, as the controversial pundit again criticized Israel, declaring its war against the Hamas terror organization “immoral.”
During the open monologue of his Thursday show, Carlson accused Israel of engaging in “collective punishment” in the Gaza Strip, deriding the war on Hamas as “immoral.”
“This is why what Israel is doing in Gaza is immoral, not simply because it’s a bloody war where civilians are being killed.”
Carlson defended his recent interview with white supremacist and Hitler apologist Nick Fuentes, denying that hosting the controversial far-right influencer constituted an endorsement of antisemitism.
Halfway into the episode, Carlson interviewed Haley, 24, who had campaigned on behalf of his mother’s bid for the Republican presidential nomination last year.
During the interview, Haley criticized not only illegal immigration but legal immigration, calling the latter “irresponsible” at this time.

When asked about Israel and the Republican party’s support for the Jewish state, Haley lamented what he called the party’s “obsession” with Israel.
“The reality is they’re just another country,” Haley said, before accusing Israel of “interfering” in American politics.
“If they want a better relationship with the United States, they need to stop interfering in our politics.”
“I just remember like growing up when I was in that 2016 era of conservative politics, Israel was untouchable,” Haley continued. “Like, you could not say anything about it.”
“It’s weird, the obsession, you know? Whether I’m not one to like the obsession, whether it’s good or bad. It’s just weird that people are obsessed with it the way it is, and I just don’t agree with either one.”

The animus Carlson expresses here is expected towards Israel, the resurrected Jew of the Nations, towards whom he can direct the same hatred he has for the “Deicide, Perfidious, G_d killing People” themselves, in his own words from time to time.
That’s why he chooses people like the viscerally antisemitic Lutheran Arab pastor in Bethlehem who spouts the same venom as he does to interview too often.
The young Haley is just too ignorant to know any better.
The “obsession” with Israel for millions of people stems because it is a tiny, 9-15,mile wide democratic country which has been relentlessly attacked numerous times since its miraculous rebirth in May 1948, on roughly one half of one percent of the region of MENA’s territory, and on about 20% of the original 1920 Mandate of Palestine—today’s Jordan created from about 80% of the total area in 1922.

And, while my posts probably won’t be approved by the Carlson folks anyway, here’s another look at Carlson himself courtesy of another author (myself) who’s done extensive doctoral work in both Middle Eastern and National Security Policy Studies:

I’m not going to rewrite the first extensive comment, but will include an especially important link which, together with its internal links, goes far in explaining this overall conflict is:

I wonder what his mother thinks about her son’s comments on Israel, or even that he went on Tucker’s show?
