(TJV NEWS) President Donald Trump warned that the United States could intensify its bombing campaign against Iran as the conflict in the Middle East enters a new phase, while Iranian leaders signaled they have no intention of capitulating, according to reporting by Gulf Today.

As Gulf Today reported, Trump said additional Iranian targets could be struck as U.S. and Israeli military operations continue across the country. The remarks came as the war entered its second week following coordinated strikes on Iranian military infrastructure.

Trump indicated that sites and groups that were previously not considered targets could now be included in the campaign, suggesting the scope of the air operations may broaden if hostilities persist. Gulf Today reported that the president warned Iran would face increasingly severe consequences unless it agreed to what he has described as “unconditional surrender.”

The statement followed a series of U.S. and Israeli airstrikes that reportedly struck multiple military and security locations in Iran, including facilities connected to missile systems and other strategic assets. The bombardment also caused damage at infrastructure sites in and around Tehran, including an airport area where fires were reported following explosions, according to Gulf Today’s report.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian responded by rejecting calls for surrender, saying Iran would continue resisting the military campaign. Gulf Today reported that Pezeshkian said Iran would not yield despite the scale of the air attacks and insisted the country would defend itself against what it views as external aggression.

At the same time, Pezeshkian sought to reassure neighboring Gulf countries that Iran does not intend to target them unless they are used as launch points for attacks. According to Gulf Today, the Iranian president also apologized for earlier strikes that affected regional states, describing them as part of Iran’s defensive response to the conflict.

The widening confrontation has already spread across several parts of the Middle East, with missile and drone attacks reported against military positions and infrastructure tied to U.S. and Israeli forces. Regional air defenses in several Gulf states have intercepted incoming projectiles as tensions have risen across the area.

Gulf Today reported that Trump has continued to frame the military campaign as part of a broader effort to weaken Iran’s military capabilities and pressure Tehran into accepting U.S. demands. Iranian leaders, however, have publicly rejected those demands, saying the country will continue to resist militarily rather than surrender.
