( United with Israel Staff ) The parents of Ran Gvili, the last remaining Israeli hostage in Gaza, confronted pro-Palestinian protesters in Miami on Thursday after being targeted by verbal abuse during a street demonstration.
Video from the scene shows a group of pro-Palestinian activists shouting insults at Talik and Itzik Gvili, who appeared largely unfazed. At one point, Talik Gvili, Ran’s mother, is seen stepping forward and tearing a cardboard sign from one of the protesters.

The confrontation occurred as the Gvilis were in the United States as part of efforts to advance the return of their son, the final fallen hostage still held in Gaza. The couple traveled to the U.S. alongside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of his meeting with President Donald Trump.
Before the flight, Talik Gvili explained her decision to join the prime minister’s delegation.
“I was invited to join Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on his flight to the United States,” she said. “The prime minister is traveling to meet President Trump, and I am flying to strengthen his hand — to assist him and to ensure there is no move toward implementing the next stage until Hamas fulfills its obligations in this stage of the agreement, and above all, its duty to bring Rani home.”
Footage from Miami shows Talik Gvili standing directly in front of the protesters as they continued shouting and cursing, while she responded calmly but firmly to the provocation.
The incident highlighted the increasingly unrestrained antisemitism confronting Israelis and Jewish families abroad even as they campaign for the return of their loved ones held by Hamas.
