Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene over the weekend accused Israel of employing disgraced financier and human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein as an agent, and claimed the Jewish state was pressuring President Donald Trump to prevent the release of documents related to the Epstein case.
On Saturday, Greene, who represents Georgia’s 14th congressional district, took to the X social media platform to comment on the ongoing tiff between herself and President Trump.
Greene uploaded a visual from the left-wing anti-Israel Track AIPAC group showing that her political campaigns have received no funds from the Israel lobby.
The 51-year-old congresswoman hinted that Israel’s alleged influence over the president was to blame for their feud, suggesting that the Jewish state was also behind Trump’s opposition to releasing files from the Epstein case.
“This and the Epstein files is why I’m being attacked by President Trump,” Greene wrote. “It really makes you wonder what is in those files and who and what country is putting so much pressure on him?”

A day later, Greene appeared on CNN to discuss her falling out with the president, whom she had staunchly supported for years.
During the interview, Greene appeared to apologize for engaging in what she called “toxic politics,” while vowing to temper her rhetoric.
“I would like to say, humbly, I’m sorry for taking part in the toxic politics; it’s very bad for our country,” Greene said. “It’s been something I’ve thought about a lot, especially since Charlie Kirk was assassinated.”
In the same interview, however, Greene doubled down on her claim that the Jewish state controls President Trump, while suggesting Jeffrey Epstein served as an Israeli intelligence asset.
“We saw Jeffrey Epstein with ties to Ehud Barak,” Greene told CNN. “We saw him making business deals with them, also business deals that involved the Israeli government, and seems to have led into their intel agencies. And I think the right question to ask is, was Jeffrey Epstein working for Israel?”
While Greene was a vocal ally of Trump in the early 2020s, aligning her 2020 campaign with the MAGA brand, the maverick congresswoman has increasingly voiced criticism of Trump since his return to office this year, both over his handling of the Epstein files and his foreign policies, in particular American support for Israel and Ukraine.

Recently, Trump has openly denounced Greene, calling for her to be challenged in the 2026 Republican primary in her district.
On Saturday, Trump called Greene a “traitor” in a Truth Social post.
“Wacky Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown (Remember, Green turns to Brown where there is ROT involved!) is working overtime to try and portray herself as a victim when, in actuality, she is the cause of all of her own problems. The fact is, nobody cares about this Traitor to our Country!”
The comment came shortly after the president announced he would support releasing documents from the Epstein case in order to “move on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Left Lunatics.”
