Iran has launched over 270 ballistic missiles toward Israel since the latest round of fighting broke out early Friday morning, the Israeli government said Sunday afternoon, following five large projectile volleys.

Not including the several hundred suicide drone aircraft dispatched by Iran on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, more than 270 missiles have been launched toward Israel, with the vast majority of them being shot down either by fighter aircraft or surface-to-air interceptor systems.

A total of 22 missile hits were reported, including several in open areas.

Some missiles did manage to score direct hits, however, resulting in casualties, including 14 fatalities, with 390 people treated for injuries.

The dead include 3 children, 10 adults, and a 14th victim whose age has not yet been published.

Authorities say nine of the 390 injured are in serious condition, with 30 more in moderate condition and 351 suffering light injuries.

The Israeli fatalities include four members of an Arab Israeli family who were killed in Tamra on Saturday night when an Iranian ballistic missile slammed into a private home, killing a woman, her two daughters – one of whom was a minor – and an adult relative.

Seven people have been confirmed dead in a missile strike Sunday morning on an apartment building in Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv, with three people still unaccounted for.

One person was killed in a direct hit on a building in Rehovot in central Israel early Sunday morning, while two others were killed in central Israel Friday night.

The number of dead and injured in Iran remains unclear, with the Iranian government not updating the death toll since the country’s envoy to the United Nations put the figure at 78 on Saturday, with more than 320 injured.
