(A7) Syrian sources reported on Saturday that Israel attacked near Damascus. Air defense systems were activated.

According to the sources, there were fatalities in the attack but there were conflicting reports as to the number. While Syria’s Health Ministry said three people were killed and five were injured, other reports said the death toll was as high as 13 or 15.

The sources added that the attack targeted a warehouse of Iranian arms that were on their way to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in Lebanon.

The Syrian networks reported that damage was caused to several buildings in the neighborhood of Kafar Sousah in the Syrian capital, where Iranian presence has been reported in the past.
