(TJVNEWS)After London police released a very clear photo of a dark-haired with a beard and wearing a white cap and glasses, who ran thru the streets attacking Jews, the violent anti-semite was arrested.

Abdullah Qureshi, 28, is accused of carrying out a spate of assaults on five Jewish people in Stamford Hill, North London over two hours on August 18., The Sun reported.

JNS previously reported :

On Aug. 18, a 30-year-old Jewish man in Stamford Hill was hit on the head with a bottle. Shortly afterwards, a 14-year-old Jewish boy was assaulted, followed by a 64-year-old Jewish man who was knocked unconscious while on his way to a synagogue. The latter, who suffered facial injuries and broke a bone in his foot, was taken to hospital and later discharged.

Officers say they were told of two more Jewish people who were attacked that day, though neither has contacted the police. They are treating the five incidents as hate crimes.

Detective Chief Inspector Yasmin Lalani, the senior investigating officer on the case, said that “we are almost two weeks on from these assaults, but we remain determined to identify the man responsible for these unprovoked attacks. We are continuing to work closely with our local communities and are offering them the necessary support.”

“I would encourage anyone with information to call the police,” added Lalani. “I would also urge this man to come forward and speak with us. It is vital that we bring these incidents to a conclusion.”

Qureshi has been charged with one count of racially or religiously aggravated wounding or grievous bodily harm, four counts of racially or religiously aggravated common assault, and one count of racially or religiously aggravated criminal damage, according to The Sun. Thee are essentially variations of hate crimes charges.

The Sun reported:

The court was told Qureshi is alleged to have “struck a victim in the side of the head before walking off” at 6.40 pm, before hitting another person “in the face with a bottle” two minutes later.

Qureshi is also accused of having “assaulted an unidentified person in a supermarket”, and a fourth victim in the street, who police have identified as a 14-year-old boy.

The court heard that at around 8.30pm, Qureshi allegedly “punched” a fifth person, who police say is aged 64, leaving him unconscious.

The attacks were condemned at the time by Zara Mohammed, secretary-general of the Muslim Council of Britain, The Independent points out

She said: “This is shocking and completely unacceptable. I hope the perpetrators will be brought to justice and the victims swift healing.

“We cannot tolerate any such hatred in our society.”
