A Brooklyn family therapist with a flair for woke activism and social justice rhetoric was caught red-handed scrawling a swastika and the word “Nazi” on a Tesla Cybertruck — and somehow managed to blame Elon Musk for her own twisted outburst, the New York Post originally reported.
Natasha Cohen, 46, a self-described maternal mental health expert and longtime therapist to children and teens, was released on her own recognizance Saturday night after being arraigned on hate-crime charges, The Post exclusively reported.
As the Post learned, Cohen — who ironically spent years working in criminal justice diversion programs trying to keep actual criminals out of jail — now finds herself on the other side of the justice system after allegedly launching an unprovoked attack on a parked Tesla in a heavily Jewish Brooklyn neighborhood.
Police say surveillance footage shows the ultra-woke therapist marching up to the electric vehicle on Ditmas Avenue, where she left a brick marked with a swastika and the word “Nazi” on the windshield, then dumped a bag of trash on it for good measure.
As she was taken into custody on April 12, Cohen, who also goes by “Carrie,” offered a bizarre explanation to police, according to the criminal complaint obtained by the Post:
“Every time I see those cars, I see Elon Musk saluting the country as a Nazi,” she ranted. “I’m basically living in terror every day that the country is turning into Nazi Germany… Elon was unelected and they’re deporting migrants without a trial.”
As the Post previously reported, Cohen operates a private therapy practice and peddles downloadable parenting worksheets for kids struggling with ADHD and body dysmorphia. She also boasts of having “advanced training” in maternal mental health and mindfulness — none of which, apparently, prevented her from allegedly launching into an anti-Tesla meltdown in broad daylight.
And in true performative-progressive fashion, the woke wellness guru has a long paper trail of anti-Trump social media posts. The Post uncovered a meme she recently shared declaring that President’s Day is canceled “until we get a real one,” and a somber candle-lit post on the day of Trump’s 2016 victory.
Photos obtained by the Post show Cohen trying to hide behind oversized sunglasses and a hoodie as she shuffled into her luxury Kensington apartment building — where homes go for over $1 million — with her teenage son. She had only two words for the Post reporter who tried to speak to her: “No comment.”
Cohen’s neighbors, meanwhile, were stunned by the hate-crime charges. “That’s crazy,” said one. “I feel like the world needs less of that crap right now.” Another simply asked, “Who does something like that?”
As the Post reported, this wasn’t an isolated Tesla-targeting incident. On March 27, vandals were also caught on camera carving a swastika and the word “Nazis” onto another Cybertruck parked on Monroe Street in Bed-Stuy — but no arrests have been made in that case.
For a woman who once helped juvenile offenders avoid prison through the Kings County Re-Entry Task Force, Cohen’s alleged act of hate — paired with a wild political tirade blaming Elon Musk — might just be her most twisted therapy session yet.
According to the Post, Cohen is due back in court next month.
